Thanks for your update.

I guess people doesn't read... They see new scrypt coin and go mine.

I am solo mining now, maybe will back to your pool later.
Your welcome and you are right, the real winners would have been the people solo-mining and finding their own blocks during that time instead of getting a sub-percentage of the accepted hash power at a pool.

Well, I wasn't able to 'fix' the issue with the pool (but will be looking into that longer term as no point having miners with difficulties higher than a coins difficulty), there was basically too much hash power being provided vs the difficulty of the coin. I  increased the rate at which the pool finds blocks dramatically so the difficulty will increases the payouts will become 'Normal'.

My apologies to everyone negatively impacted by this, but the issue is really with the difficulty being so low.

EDIT:

Basically, with difficulty being too low the pool was not accepting all the hash power being given to it, a fair % was being 'thrown away' otherwise it would have basically caused the pool to be ddos'd by miners, the pool and the coin daemon itself would not have been able to handle the load either without being on a supercomputer or something.
Miners were all being paid for the % of work overall that was not being 'thrown away', so in example above where user got 0.3 coins after finding 20 blocks (which should have been around 1000 coins) that is due to the pool overall was only accepting 0.03% of work.

Now that the difficulty is reaching a 'sane' level compared to the hash power being provided to the coin the pool is accepting more valid work and running normally.
Thanks for your update.

EDIT:

I feel that people should get an explanation as to what 'occured'.

With difficulty being too low the pool was not accepting all the hash power being given to it, a fair % of the hash power was being 'thrown away', not doing so would have overloaded the pool with all the work being submitted miners, the pool and the coin daemon would not have been able to handle the load either without being on a supercomputer or something.
Miners were all being paid for the % of work overall that was not being 'thrown away', so in example above where user got 0.3 coins after finding 20 blocks (which should have been around 1000 coins) that is due to the pool overall was only accepting 0.03% of work. (The TTF of the coin at that point was less than 1 second (pool was showing 0 with rounding), so the pool would have had to have been processing many blocks per second in order to process all the hash rate)

Now that the difficulty is reaching a 'sane' level compared to the hash power being provided to the coin the pool is accepting more valid work and running normally.

Basically the difficulty of the coin is not currently reflecting the actual amount of hashing power being thrown at it.

I'm trying to work out a solution to that, basically got some large MH/s miners on the pool (which is pointless atm), their difficulty is way higher than the coins difficulty and as such they should be submitting more than they actually do. When the difficulty rises it'll be fair, but at the low difficulty its warping the payouts.

I ideas on how to fix it, but its going to take me a bit of time.

Coin to http://youcrazy.me for a bit of a laugh

Has custom stratum setup so doesn't increase difficulty as much as usual (but still does a little) due to exceedingly low difficulty.

With any pool on this coin expect lots of orphans.

Make sure use IP below instead of normal stratum address.

Code:
-a scrypt -o stratum+tcp://35.189.24.248:3433 -u YourLJCoinAddress -p c=LJCOIN

Got like 0.3 pending coins after finding 20 blocks from your pool

wtf? Huh

Now difficulty is x5... Feels bad.

Removed coin from pool, hasn't been block on the network in 10 days.

All files are still there so if someone really wants to mine or the network actually becomes active again feel free to message me and I'll reactivate.

The coin is actively mined. More than 2,000 blocks have already been mined.

A total of 84,000,000 coins will be mined.

Difficulty is 0.00054445 for now.

You can mine it on your pocket calculator  Cool

How come you say that there will only be 84 million coins? Your source states otherwise:

Quote
Ljcoin is a lite version of Bitcoin using scrypt as a proof-of-work algorithm.

2.5 minute block targets
subsidy halves in 840k blocks (~4 years)
~252 million total coins
84+84 million premine for airdrops and ecosystem development
The rest is the same as Bitcoin.

50 coins per block
2016 blocks to retarget difficulty

Edit: Oh, so you have a 2/3 premine of the whole supply? Wow.

Are you going to publish a road map and a whitepaper?

Yes, but not just now.

Let the ordinary people mine enough coins for themselves. At first Smiley
