Pavel, Just a reminder for when you get back. One among other very good ideas posted over the past week:

Check this out, post and if possible RT too.

Thanks for sharing the link from coin desk and posting replies to the article!

I replied on the Assange youtube link a little while back as well.

Where is this coin going? Wish I had more BTC to buy up some more Craigs  Grin

Cheers,
Craig

Pavel, I'm interested in knowing, after the ads functionality is finalised and refined, if Craig is open to broadening beyond its current focus on decentralised/uncensored ads to also include:
--decentralised/uncensored tweeting
--decentralised/uncensored articles (of some fixed length)
--etc.

And, if so, also adopt an enhanced marketing strategy that starts "mini campaigns" wherever there's a high-profile movement against government surpression going on like today in Hong Kong, Turkey, China and other places that threaten to try to supress the flow of Internet information.

If so, I know someone who can get in touch with Wikileak's Assange to let him know that craigscoin is a pioneer here, already moving in this direction and doing so quickly - something I'm sure he'd be delighted to hear and promote to the very large global audience that follows him.

I don't see any whales or manipulation here - coin just lacks BTC volume. Look at the order book - it really hasn't changed much this past week. It will not take much to get the price above 500 - coin holders aren't willing to sell much below 400, and they will pull sell orders when we start to move above 500, which will make the path above 600 even easier. Coin just needs more development and PR news from Pavel who I think is returning shortly from his business trip. I don't see many other coins offering the low risk (solid floor around 300-400) and potential percent gains this one does at the moment -- so few BTC are required to get it to start to rally.

I love this blatant and flagrant market manipulation. These seller manipulators will sell underneath the asking buy price, just to show their flagrance. We need to screen shot it! What whale system wants to destroy this coin so much? Has CraigsCoin hit a nerve on the future!?!
It's not whales. It's competition.
If some groups get threatened, they just start FUD and push prices down.

I think you are right! And I think I know who you are talking about. I just won't give them the justice to proclaim them - sucks knowing they have such resource, but I always like investing in the underdog! This is getting very interesting!  Wink

There is a lot of work to be done here, so we could sit back and wait and hope Pavel does it all himself or we could try and help sort through the major issues.  And atm, who is going to post a serious ad with all that spam.  And even if we could cut out all the spam its very hard to get a viable marketplace.

Granted, but just remember it's been less than three weeks since the ICO, and Rome wasn't built in a day. Pavel has delivered on the key elements he's promised, the foundation is in place and he's been very open and responsive to ideas on enhancing and refining the system from here. And the technical challenges for craigscoin seem pretty straightforward and surmountable compared to, say, the constant back and forth over anon-tech among anon coins.

You can get in touch with Synechist,Atcseure(Dan Metcalf) or Teka if you want more information.
I was thinking about that too. This might be a really good idea indeed.

PR is important because we need more serious ADs and to get that words needs to go out. Of course spam is serious problem and that needs to be addressed ASAP but good PR and more serious people with more serious ADs can help too since all that spam will be less visible.

When the system starts getting more seriously used by more people, and more quality content, its potential will be a lot more clear (less abstract) to a lot more people, including people outside crypto.

I was off of this thread for 8 days and i see that this troll is still here... Well, good to see that PR is starting to look serious. Good job.

Yes I am still here.  And I will be here to the end, however this ends.

What have you done to help this coin?  If you dont like what I have to say then bad luck, I am not going to post rocket pics for you.

Pavel asked me not to, so I wont comment on his commitment to the coin again.  But there is so much that needs to be done to take this coin out of the crypto community and into mainstream.  Maybe you don't care like a lot of people here, you are just waiting for a pump then you will sell out.

And PR is a bit of a waste at the moment.  What will new potential investors see, a tacky looking wallet and a website full of spam.  If we can solve the spam problem and people posting very objectionable ads then we would be making some progress.  These things need to be discussed and solutions found and that is what I would like to see happening here.

I have done much more then you did, since i didn't post trash and demanded pointless things from Pavel over and over again. All you did is cluttering thread... You are talking about P&D and you are the first one who said that Pavel needs to control price since you are not able to watch low prices and you hoped for easy profit. In what kind of world do you live in when you expect someone to present you with perfect product so that you can invest with 100% certainty?! Grow up!

PR is important because we need more serious ADs and to get that words needs to go out. Of course spam is serious problem and that needs to be addressed ASAP but good PR and more serious people with more serious ADs can help too since all that spam will be less visible.

Addressing the spam is probably close to the top of his priority list as far as Craig, and I'm sure Pavel will address it when he gets back this weekend.

I think a solution to it will be some kind of ratings system and allowing people to set their own minimum thresholds for ads they want to be visible, and probably having some minimum set by default that people are free to adjust. The tough challenge will be figuring out a way for people not to game the system, but figuring out that challenge will add value to the coin.

1.  The objectionable ads are still posted and if people wanted they could search through for the the child porn ads.  Dont get me wrong, I want freedom for people to post what ever they want, but there must be a line drawn somewhere.

2.  Filtering span out is only half effective and you have to be always on top of it.  It is a never ending battle that cant really be won.

one jury idea where random wallet holders would decide if the add would be posted or not.

The sustainable solution will definitely involve some kind of crowdsourcing/ratings system. You cant completely eliminate spam, but you can mitigate/reduce it with automated solutions that are codeable.

I like the idea of a random jury. You could put one in place before the ad is published. And for any ad that gets through, you supplement that with a rating system on all published ads (maybe adding some randomness to that too by displaying the composite of a random selection of reviews) to help add even more consensus-basis to the system and further filter out the spam.

Wikipedia would be an example to look to on reducing spam - no solution is perfect, but they seem to have gotten pretty far. And these all seem like solutions that would be pretty straightforward to code.
