Accepts Bitcoin,Litecoin, and DOGE. If they can Accept Doge then they can sure as hell start accepting CasinoCoin.

Please Transcoder or Casinocoin talk with these people to implement Casinocoin. I would to it myself but I don't know what I need to say to them haha. Holding and mining Casinocoin 24/7 man.

Thanks

Wow. CSC Network hash rate is 1.6 GH/s. Next difficulty expected to be over 12!
I've never seen it that high in the past month I think. No thanks to multipools.

@transcoder: I think both changes would help, i.e. 120 blocks instead of 720 and an extra damping as suggested earlier.

Given that there were practically no responses to my suggestion to bring in professional casino operators I will not pursue this further.

I'd like to propose a change to the current CasinoCoin protocol that will require a hard fork, and I would like to get the community's thoughts on the change before proceeding.

There has recently been a general sentiment from the community that multipools have hurt the stability in the value of CasinoCoin due to volatility with difficulty. Whenever CasinoCoin becomes one of the top most profitable coins to mine on sites like CoinWarz.com, we see a jump in the network hashrate which causes a jump in the difficulty. When the difficulty adjust occurs, the network hashrate drops significantly as miners move on to the next profitable coin to mine, causing CasinoCoin to get "stuck" at the higher diffulty for more than the theoretical 6 hour difficulty adjustment time (recently, we've seen it take 15+ hours). This causes stability issues in terms of difficulity and value.

The current difficult adjust time is 720 blocks. At 30-second block times, theoretically, the difficulty adjustment occurs every 6 hours. I am considering a change that would cut the adjustment time by 1/6th to 120 blocks, which is approximately every hour.

Other variables to consider are the damping rate and maximum percentage of difficulty adjust (ie. the maximum the difficulty can increase or decrease per adjustment period). I will need to do some research to see what values are effective, but I'm open to any ideas that you may have.

Before I proceed with any changes, I'd like your feedback and thoughts on this proposal, whether you support it or not, and whether you see an upside and/or downside to such a change in the protocol.

If the adjustment time is cut down to 120 blocks, no other changes should be needed.  I'm not sure limiting the difficulty adjustment is a good idea.  Has it been implemented in any other coins?

@frufru - Yes, I plan to start working on an to update the CasinoCoin client early next week to incorporate changes in Litecoin 0.8.6.2 as soon as I'm done with updates to the CasinoCoin API. This will make it compatible with Mac OS X Mavericks in addition to other improvements since Litecoin 0.6.9.2. I'm also considering a change in difficulty adjust as detailed in my message below.

Fantastic news, happy to hear it!

Is CasinoCoin on Twitter? If not, I think it is important that someone makes a Twitter account for it and is active on Twitter. It is also a good place to build some hype for CasinoCoinCity.

In order to get some users for CasinoCoinCity that is not only from the current community there needs to be some hype, attention and excitement about the "new big thing", CasinoCoinCity Smiley

If anyone has a blog or something that would also be a great place to spread the word. Or doing some blog comments.

I believe one of the most important thing for CasinoCoin currently is to spread the word or we will continue to see the price going down.

What about only limiting the difficulty adjustment on a downward change?
If you limit the adjustment on an upward change the multipools will hang around longer since it will remain profitable longer. The longer the multipools are on the coin the more dumping occurs and the more the price of the coin drops.

As i requested via PM, please also consider adding QR code support in the Desktop Wallet as i will need that for my Mobile Wallet, ... otherwise users will need to manually enter wallet addressses on the phone which is not very easy to do.

@casinocoin - It would also be nice if your casino deposit generates a QR code for the address, that way people could transfer coins very easy and fast from their mobile wallet by just scanning the code.

In general, development is progressing on the mobile wallet. I think i am still on track for a first beta release on android within 2 weeks.

I totally agree with that. And i think the addition of dampening is a very good one if the re target time goes to 1 hour. As the retarget will be pretty fast i would set the min/max change per re target to 10%.

In regards to auto selling, ... i believe that effect will disappear automatically when the difficulty gets more stable and the coin value will start rising gradually.

Looks solid, this will decrease the negative effect the multipools have on "loyal" miners.

Are there more ways to become unattractive for multipools to swing by? Because most of them auto-sell, which creates downwards pressure on the coins price.
