Interesting, BTC price is higher on Bitfinex but volume is higher on Poloniex and it involves the XMR/BTC pair directly.
I guess that means that BTC is rising due to XMR holders switching to BTC ?

i just noticed it too (i edited my previous post before reading your post), it is strange to see such high volume there.
Maybe these are customers switching from using Bitfinex (which still has not opened-up fully about their hacked exchange)
to using other exchanges ?

anyway, if darknet people wanted to use dash they will use it if they want to, there's nothing you can do about it. so if you don't want people to be anonymous/private, why not remove private send and stop your masternodes from mixing coins?.. and then dash will become just like any other shitcoin out there with fast coin transfers and shiny GUI? haha
