Community Engagement
15 Dash were sent to 10 mods for the work they do here. Creating conversation, tipping new people, welcoming new members, public promotions of Dash and this place, helping new users with questions and answers, providing resources for veterans and new users, among many other things. Bounty for App Store Wallet
We had donations pledged from several users to encourage getting an iphone wallet on the App Store. Jaxx was the first one to meet the requirements and received 200 Dash compliments of @Dashmasternode, there are still bounties for 50 Dash (@pi) to get an App on the China App Store and another 50 Dash (@solarminer,@troydash,@dashadvocate) to add InstantSend. There are now 3 different developers attempting to get a wallet in app store with InstantSend. We believe this was fantastic success.

5 Dash were refunded to @Solarminer from month one for the 5 dash proposal fee.

5 Dash are going to create a new reddit intro post which @Poltergeist has kindly taken upon himself to complete. He has already provided a rough draft and we plan on having something done by early or mid September.

ps: not the tech behind each, but how would dash anonymity be a good think and monero anonymity a "darkside" thing.

Privatesend used to be called Darksend.  There's no difference except in the branding; both names refer to the exact same broken Coinjoin implementation that was denounced by the inventor of the protocol Greg Maxwell.

You should use Monero in the darkside.
Privatesend target is not darkside transation like Monero.

Dash was only briefly used on Nucleus (which was, like Dash, a scam).

Now we keep hearing unsubstantiated rumors that other DNMs are using Dash, but we don't see any verifiable information and Team Dash's Official Position is that they rebranded from Darkcoin to avoid the association with Dark stuff.

However, the only DNM besides Nucleus using Dash that's been reported by the media is a nasty child abuse ring.

I'm all in favor of promoting usage of crypto wherever and whenever possible.

Why dont you just try and decide if you like it or not.  Try annon option, try instant send, etc. and see for yourself.

Dash has full anonymity (optional for users) + instant transactions + rewards for running full nodes (masternodes) + decentralized budget and governance system + integration into a lot of other wallets
(Bitwala, Coinapult, Mycelium, Spectrocoin) + blockchain is still very small  (under 2 GB)

That is Dash strength, it has grown so much beyond just having anonymity....
