Dash has less than half the vote compared to both NEM and Ethereum in this poll: https://twitter.com/MrSilverCider/status/733562336514969600

I will be writing books about these four crypto coins in 2017.  I will begin with the winner of this poll.  4-5 days left.

Free trial of #AltFolio = save time, react faster
Hi DASH community.

I have good news. Have a look at the histogram on the left:

The vast majority of AltCoins have massively more total sell orders than buy orders, sometimes even
with a factor of 5 and more (so then the left, green column is 5 times smaller than the red column) .
I think that is one of the reasons why most of altcoin trading is so risky: The slightest panic - and a
price can fall bottomless. I guess, many coins do not care enough about creating demand; plus
-looking at the whole market- somehow their price is much too high (same example: 5 times too high).

In DASH however, the total buy orders volume is impressively larger than the total sell orders.
During the past 2 months, while developing, I often checked out several coins, to get a feeling
for our new indicator. With DASH, the situation had been ~balanced during the whole course of
these 2 months. And recently, I even see an inverted ratio - 1.65 time more total buy order volume
than total sell orders.  In short: Congrats. Your whole DASH economy seems quite healthy ;-)

Disclaimer: This is not a buy suggestion! I am just talking about one -of many- viewpoints. And myself I am only mildly invested
in DASH (unfortunately ;-) ... some old coins from long ago. I reported this mainly due to tech fascination, and because you are a
notable exception, and because I want to read your own explanations ... for what we are seeing there, in this project (click preview).

EDIT:
* Crossposted into our thread.
* Retweet - thx.
* Explanations pt2.

If you delete the file with something like "rm debug.log", the linux will not free up the space until after all processes that are running have been stopped.

So, you need to do something like "> debug.log" which will free up the space while the program is running.

Someone answered this in the past couple of pages with a cron entry that will do what you want without you having to manually do it.

Any dash experts recommend how to handle debug.log getting too big. Is it safe to just delete while the daemon is running ?

I have answered this a few post above: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14912605

Thanks guys surprised I didn't see that, I normally try to keep up with this thread

I don't know if anyone noticed this, but yesterday's average hashrate finally exceeded our ATH from 6/2/2014 for the first time.

Market cap is not far behind our ATH and could be broken in the coming days or weeks. We need a 17.3% increase in price from here to break our ATH market cap.

See the stats I'm referring to here:

Just wondering if it's possibly about to kick off again and whether we might see .02 before tonight.
People have been posting a few graphs of late.
This is the graph for the whole lifespan of Dash.
I am struggling to think of many alts this old that are still rocking it and are in a position to potentially take out their original ATH.

Coinbase is going to list one premined shit coin - ETH.

I think they will not refuse to list another instamined shit coin - Dash. Has anyone from Dash community tried to reach Coinbase?

Weak troll attempt, weak.

The DASH community is well hardened against trolling, you'll need to try harder next time friend.

Was that even an attempt, for real???

Just had a pulse i do believe.

More like a cry for help from a troll in existential crisis.

a bit quiet isn't it.  Looking forward to some test net ACSHOOOOOOONE!

Everyone should read this excellent article. It's about "TheDAO" but is very relevant to our decentralized budgeting and governance as well:

https://steemit.com/crypto-news/@dan/is-the-dao-going-to-be-doa

 Very interesting. I came to some of the same conclusions myself and I'm not the smartest cookie in crypto. But this article goes way beyond my initial head-scratch.

 I was shocked at a podcast with Stephen Tual where he explained the Dao concept, but came to a "stutter" so to speak while explaining the funding model. He quite literally said that once the money runs out, they'll just do a second crowdfund. Profoundly puzzled at how this is ever going to work out.

@solar thank you.

Oh I figured out that dashd on my VPS encours a disk space too low error. That's why it is not starting anymore and my MN crashed.
Currently my VPS has 15GB SSD space. Is it too low in your opinion? Mind to suggest what I should delete in order to clean some space?

.dash/debug.log is 4.7GB! :O

I recommend to set a cronjob to delete it once a day, this debug file is getting filled very fast (about 60MB/day?)

Code:
sudo crontab -e
choose 2 and add
Code:
0 0 * * * > ~/.dash/debug.log
save
