Hmm tungfa posted this on reddit, saying it's a Russian site.  And he's been in contact with them.  Yea sure, maybe he's running the next scam.  I'd stay clear...

https://www.reddit.com/domain/livecoin.net/

Before I'd post something about one of our core members of the foundation team, I'd be posting some facts before throwing around accusations like that.

FACT : Darkcoin is an instamined, market manipulated, forked/fucked shitcoin.

Oh the lolz when the blowback from craptsy's "hack" hits here, DOGE and every other cryptofiat these assholes used to FUCK THE CRYPTOMOVEMENT.

Nice to meet you. HOSER Tongue

Hi buddy! Not sure how slowly to talk to you, you seem a bit retarded. But why not try this: download the DASH wallet, buy some coins and then start anonymising them! Make a darksend payment and watch how difficult it is to even start to track where the coins come from. At 4 rounds of mixing, it's impossible..

Welcome to the forum anyway!

How many nodes does darksend mix with?

It's hard to say the number exactly - it depends on number of rounds (you can choose from 2 to 8 rounds to mix) and amount of funds (explained later).
Mixing works like this (in large steps):
1. funds are denominated into 0.1, 1, 10, 100 ("denoms", where 0.1 etc is one of "denom types")
2a. some of equal denoms (up to 10 inputs, that's why it depends on amount of funds) are combined together to participate in mixing on some random masternode (but only the one that wasn't used lately)
2b. that masternode goes to the (local) "used" list and will not be chosen again for mixing until 90% of the whole MN list was used for mixing
3. steps 2a/b repeat until all funds are mixed

So it's at least (number of rounds)*(number of denom types) but in general the real number of MNs used for mixing should be a bit higher I guess.

Wonder if the volume on Livecoin is real? Where has this exchange come from to erupt like this?

Hi there ,

Who would like to make a few hundred Dash ?

I have 1103 on Cryptsy and another 2 BTC to buy more.

I would like 600 Dash in trade for my account at cryptsy , who wants to take the risk?

I am not very technical but want to continue with DASH as it is such a great coin , most probably eventually you will get yr coins

I can send a picture of my account as trading is stopped anyway at the moment for you to check, if interested please send me a PM

thanks

getting close to 2mil in volume.

I think it will go over...
Going way too fast for comfort. But considering the volume, I'm surprised the price hasn't moved more than it has. This volume makes it more likely this is actually a healthy move than if the same price movement happened with low volume.

Actually, volume is a key metric to watch right now. I'm actually more interested in seeing a high volume number than a high price right now. Of course, seeing both go up is even better! Smiley

Glad I added the masternode that I did after the first of the year.

I would not sell before the bitcoin conference... look what happened to Etherium after they presented last year.

Hi all. Can anyone tell me how many Master Nodes Dash has at present? Thank you
https://dashninja.pl/masternodes.html says:
Total Masternodes: 3510 = 3506 actives + 4 inactives [3502 unique IPs]

Aggghhh and I am one of those inactives.   I'll fix that in the morning.

Please make  MN active, good luck.
I added one MN to reach 3500.
Dashman multi voting is possible for masternode.conf list.
You don't need to log in every server.

You can track MNs using:
1. this graph http://178.254.18.153/~pub/masternode_count.png
2. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/ or https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/masternodes.dws to get more info
3. https://dashninja.pl/masternodes.html#mnlistdetail or http://www.dashnodes.com/index/masternodes/ to get even more detailed info
4. or simply via Dash Core wallet itself (Tools -> Information -> Number of Masternodes)

...
Has anyone run any numbers?

Is there a plan to phase out masternodes or reduce the amount needed to run a MN?

The number of MNs is designed to balance itself: the more MNs there are the less reward for every single MN. To reduce the amount needed to run a MN (i.e. increase the number of MNs) we would have to do a hard fork and ask everyone to split their MNs which would be a stress for the network. I think we are pretty fine with the number of MNs we have right now and there is no need for such action.

If you are looking to run a MN but you do not have 1000 DASH you can join other people to run a so called shared masternode. There are some community members who offer such service (but be aware that you have to trust them your DASHs to run a MN for you).
Thank you

I was just thinking that if that number or even the ratio stayed the same and one still needed 1000 coins to have a masternode, and Dash became used as a currency then the price would have to be a lot higher to provide enough capital.

There are no plans to phase out masternodes. In fact, they are essential to implement reliable network services that differentiate Dash such as InstantX, protocol network governance, private transactions, etc.

If there is ever a need to increase the number of masternodes to handle greater transaction capacity over time, the collateral needed to host a node could always be reduced from the current 1,000 Dash... but that definitely isn't one of our immediate concerns. If you were to require only 500 Dash, the number of masternodes should roughly double for example. Right now, the 1,000 Dash collateral requirement results in an equilibrium of about 3,500 masternodes. For now, that is more capacity than Dash needs, but like I said, the network could vote to change the collateral requirement to target any quantity of desired masternodes as the network capacity needs change.

Dag nabbit, I sold a few coins at 10 to see if I could buy them back lower, and now I'm doubting myself, LOL.  The market is going crazy, what the heck?  I've never seen it like this, not for Dash??

This has happened twice...once in May of 2014 and March of 2015.  Wink

Well, except the May 2014 one was because of a guy running off with BTC he was accidentally credited with, he bought up all the available DarkCoin and sold it at Polo, so it was a huge pump and dump.

And yah, I talked my son into buying in March last year.

Frankly, I still think Dash is ridiculously low.  A jump in price like this used to excite me, because I would feel like people were finally getting what Dash was all about, but now, I just cringe.  It's just too much at once for my liking.
I agree.  Until cryptos become useful in everyday life... Pump n dumping and wild rides is our course.

Dash has been low for a while, I think it should be more in the $5-7 range, maybe higher...

hell, LTC is $3+ and they don't have a soda machine! (LTC also has 7x the supply)
In reference to the other coins and their features,  developers and how we sit in the matrix vs BTC $12 to $15 would be base,  in my opinion .  But this whole scene is fickle so who real knows it's true value till it's out in the world being used

I Dash ATM were to be used as a currency for say $10m of transactions a day then that would require the total volume of "free float" to be used eveey day. IOW there is approx $10m of Dash in circulation outside MN right now, so if being perhaps more reasonable. We wanted to see 10% of coins transacted per day and we allowed for 10% of the "free float" to be used each day then Dash would need to have a market cap of $200m.

Does that sound right?
