i will render a picture with bigger cans, we will see...
I think the cans need to go. It gets the point across with out them and this really is a cool idea.
I do think future budgeting shouldn't include marketing though. This is a slippery slope. Maybe when the Market cap is X size we no longer use funds for this type of activity. On the flip side, if we try to make marketing donations based, it will probably fail. I know from first hand experience with bitcoin and a failed billboard project.
Just some random thoughts :p
That's a different point of view. For me, marketing is #2 behind core development in importance, and that's only now. In the future, it could very well become #1, with development slowing down and eventually becoming maintenance. In fact, I hate to see any funds go unused in the available budget, but we do lose many coins each month due to no proposals. Of course, someone has to have a great idea to propose, and we've had many, so I'm not really complaining, other than I wish those lost coins could be tapped in the future, but alas...
A company has basic expenses, and marketing is one of the biggest so I can't see why it shouldn't be part of the budget system. Development (or product building or the physical work required to ship and sell products), Marketing, Financial management, HR and Legal. Am I missing something? But that's basically the things a company must pay for, no matter their trade. Thus it should all be on the table for budget distribution
