what DarkCoin does is highly centralized
"masternodes" "does not sound like" something decenteralized, "it sounds like" something that creates a small chokepoint which could be used to deanonymize its users, like a server based CoinJoin but worse since you have to hold a huge pile of coins to run a server.
"Does not sound like" and "it sounds like" do not qualify as scientific observations by any stretch of the imagination. These are the ramblings of an individual who has absolutely no clue how Dash works.
Gmax invented coinjoin, the mixing algorithm Darkcoin broke, bastardized, and rebranded as 'Darksend.'
Obviously, his opinions are those of one with the highest possible levels of expertise.
I implemented a rough version of CoinJoin.
The idea behind what I'm working on was originally put forward by Gregory Maxwell
Remember when Darkcoin wanted Gmax to audit its crypto?
Here, I'll help jog your atrociously selective memory:
A good compromise would be a full audit from greg maxwell and possibly some other trusted contributors to the original idea.
I'd suggest 3 seperate devs, personally. Maybe Maxwell, Mindfox and.. i dont know a good 3rd.
You certainly valued his "ramblings" when fishing for an endorsement!
Funny how (in the DashHole POV) Gmax went from hero to zero as soon as he said something less than flattering about your shitty HYIP scam's bad crypto.
