Personal attacks and threats of violence should be reported. The ignore button is a good idea as well.

I'm not an expert on trolling, but my guess would be that he's just trying put words into people's mouths so that he can report them to moderators and get them banned. Or, maybe he's really into S & M and secretly hopes that someone will actually give him a good spanking :-)
