Report: Crypto Crimes Up in 2019 to $4.4 Billion As Privacy Coins Face Regulation

A new report by CypherTrace, a cryptocurrency Anti-Money Laundering, bitcoin forensics, and blockchain threat intelligence solutions company, summarizes that all cryptocurrency-related frauds and thefts totaled $4.4 billion USD, which is up from $1.7 billion a year ago. This comes as the industry increasingly seeks to regulate privacy coins.

Dash adds data-type contracts to Dash with Dash Core v1.0 (scheduled for release on Dash testnet in 4 weeks)

Which means that developers can create apps and have its data stored on Dash Drive and processed through a masternode network side-chain*
To enable these data-type contracts, Dash has created the Dash Platform**

For now its only meta data that can be stored on the side-chain, but in later Dash software versions the apps themselves
can also be stored directly on the side-chain and run from there.

I think this will bring additional use cases to Dash.

Dash data contracts may not be the same as Ethereum's smart contracts, but it will be supported by a Dash network that has been
build up from the ground to properly and efficiently support and process payments and has on-chain scaling solutions available to it.

It will be great if dash will support ERC contracts from the ethereum

Actually Dash currently has 4841 active masternodes, which puts it one rank higher (rank 6) and very close to rank 5 on the ranking by number of nodes.

There is growth in transactions, growth in number of active wallets, growth in mining hash rate, growth in new users. Its only the price that has been lagging behind, which can be explained
by the bear market having an impact on all altcoins and even on bitcoin now.

Looks like Cardano remains the crypto project with the most down % from ATH. The more recent crypto projects (Bitcoin SV, Chainlink) have of course much lower % down from ATH,
but thats to be exspected. All the older and more established altcoins* are pretty much between 87% and 97% down from ATH. We just have to weather the storm.

* stable coins and exchange tokens are excluded from my list.
