Is this a start of a new trend, a higher BTC-e price than the others?

Could also be the start of the crash of the $USD.

Still early. This may just be a backtest of resistance:

Or it may be the start of the crash of the $USD....I've seen this pattern go either way from here. Parabolic up (which means this is a backtest to resistance as you say here) or slow crash back down (which means this was a massive, last-ditch, final hoorah head-fake to get everyone to think a new $USD bull market was beginning.

Crypto is the separation of Power and State.
Crypto Sex Toys: Over 4,000 Adult toys -- Pay with Dash (second option behind BTC)

OK, I was wrong about there being no uses for Dash.   Grin

There are actually three:

1.  Laundering stolen BTer coins

2.  High-yield investment in THE DARKCOIN FOUNDATION INC's unlicensed "Masternode" financial product

3.  Butt plugs

That is a pretty decent number, it grew faster than I imagined. I remember going from only a few to a few hundred, back then 1000 sounded unbelievable in a short timeframe. Now at 2500+, wow!

2014 was the year of alt coin bonanza and 2015 will be the year of the alt coin grave yard.
It is sad to revisit old threads and dying or dead coins, having followed them through their entire life cycle from their very launch right up until the wallet not syncing anymore.

Goldman Sachs is investing in Circle, could this accelerate Wallstreet getting involved with crypto?

http://www.businessinsider.com/goldman-sachs-gets-into-bitcoin-2015-4

I think it's inevitable Wallstreet will be involved in crypto other than BTC.  Much still has to happen before that starts ramping up though.

It's very likely there will be a final capitulation in BTC price in the next couple of months.  If we see a reversal in price in the next couple days after this Goldman Sachs / Circle news pump, then the slide down towards capitulation is likely to be accelerated.  If the market turns bullish from here, then things will get pushed back but eventually reverse.  In my opinion it's only after the capitulation that you'll see Wallstreet aggressively jumping into Crypto.  This dark period it goes through will also shakeout the majority of altcoins (never recovering from the downcycle).  However, when this happens there will likely be a small handful of crypto-currencies that rise to new highs and beyond from the crash.  Dash will most definitely be one of them.  I would also guess Ripple, Stellar, Nxt, Ethereum, Counterparty and possibly Bitshares and Monero to be in this group as well.

Just my take.

Bitcoin's looking like it's starting to break the trend of 2014 and early 2015.

THe 1-week chart's put in quite some green candle.

Pretty much need to see a close on the daily above $305 with some follow through and it will.

Zerocash getting closer to launch, which probably means another 6-12 months.
...
Also, they haven't quite figured the best algo to launch with.

Do they offer anything extra apart from side chains with high anonymity and smart contracts with some kind of fancy none tamper multi-sig?
Isn't this going against fungability, am not sure about his definition ..
http://zerocash-project.org/q_and_a#what-does-zerocash-do
For instance, there are promising techniques for preventing money laundering without violating the privacy of legitimate users (e.g., CHL06). Roughly, the idea is to build the cryptographic protocol so that, once the total amount paid between any two users (over any number of payments) exceeds some public threshold, the payments are not private. Zerocash could incorporate such techniques (though the initial prototype does not do so).
(I see they're working off the Bitcoin 0.9.1 codebase)

Sidchains are an option, but they actually want to compete with Bitcoin. They are going to be an altcoin, effectively.

Might pump n' dump them back to their classrooms  Grin
