I suppose my point is that people here bash XMR for this issue, which is based on 'buts and mayhaps'. Seems we have similar 'buts and mayhaps' so should cool off the bashing and be constructive.

dude, I have been presented with an interesting point by the XMR devs. I'd like to go back with a reasonable response and improve my own understanding. I will go off and do some 'homework' but figured I might get a 'nutshell' response on here that I can take to the other thread.
i haven't really acted like 'i know shit when i don't know shit' - i've said 'am I missing something?' in posts.
Although this forum is quick moving, you may actually have better results by posting in https://dashtalk.org/ - There's less noise there and you're more likely to get a longer reply not drowned out by pages of noise and speculation.
