This seemed to me to be a really interesting article because I have noticed certain words and phrases being repeated by A group of uncritical glaze-eyed Dash zealots, who see any criticism of Dash as an attack on the PERFECT COIN.  It's super creepy.

Words such as "narratives" and "speculation as fact".  For fun see if you can find more and post them as a reply.

You indicated you wanted a constructive dialogue. I'm listening. If you are trying to say that Dash is a great technology worth investing in, then obviously I agree or I wouldn't be an MNO. In order to facilitate change, it seems to me we need to convince other stakeholders that change is needed.  What metrics would you use? I will piss on a spark plug if it works.

I fundamentally believe that there is always many ways we could and should improve things.  First...there needs to be a place where this discussion can happen in a open, honest and respectful way.  Most of these types of discussions begin with good intentions but digress into bickering and in fighting.  Thus probably why autocracies end up happening.

Once a place that is created to have this discussion ...we can start lying down the frame work for organizing what is trying to be accomplished.  And yes...there will always need to be moderation of said place.  Unfortunately...nothing in human evolution shows me any confidence in our ability as a species to always work towards a common goal.

If you're hoping for a level playing field, I'm afraid you might be disappointed. Our opponents don't appear to be the sort of people who like to play fair. I think we just need to accept that this is a rigged game and play to win anyway. The future of Dash is at stake. Fortunately I think the laws of economics are on our side, which means so is time.  That which is unsustainable WILL NOT be sustained, and as the number of projects that fail due to underfunding pile up, so will evidence that we are right. OR Dash price can pump and give me an exit point. I can live with either eventuality.

I assume dash is a strong coins, but in fact this coin does not change even though the others had already been creeping up, the panic starts to smell here where they start selling it and getting the price down. I hope the team can change things for the better.

Perhaps there is among Dash haters. Trolls are in overdrive

AzzAz hit the nail on the head.
So these people were a problem back in the day (Evan et all) , yet now they are referred to as a big loss by same trolls who were hating on them previously. There is no consistency or logic. only FUD mountains of FUD.

Now Tao is the target? For banning trolls. So they come here to plead their case how he was wrong to ban them... By trolling. Seriously troll here about it and expect what? sympathy?  It is beyond pathetic. I even heard Tao is the supposed reason for the Dash bear market? The utter ridiculousness of that statement beggars belief!  Is it a joke or just more FUD, mountains of FUD

I think your view on moderators and how they effect coinmarketcap is pretty irrational,
to the point of coming across as a bit insane.

Attacking highly respected community members like Tao who has been with Dash from the start, unlike you who has joined Dash just recentely (last year), is also not helping your reputation on this forum.

Stop blaming the fall of the Dash price on just one person, stop overly focussing on coinmarketcap ranks and maybe just maybe you can regain some of the respect you lost with your earlier posts.

I don't blame this on one person, but it seems evident to me that there is an inner group of MNOs who control enough votes to swing most proposals one way or another, and they use TaoOfSatoshi and the other paid moderators as well as Joel Valenzuela to do their bidding.  You can always guess what's going on by what these types of people accuse you of doing. it's projection. They want to control the narrative. That's fine, I guess, but they are using our funds to do it. Discord, Dash Force, these are treasury feeders.  Then they use the influence of the media they control to push risky, wasteful proposals which cost Dash money.

If the investment community thought these projects were likely to generate positive returns, I suspect Dash would be trading higher and/or have a higher market rank. This is affecting the trading value of Dash and the net worth of all hodlers.

Tao isn't highly respected by everybody in the community, obviously. I wouldn't care about him at all, but he's getting in the way of some badly needed reforms.

"I think you have set Dash back years and are responsible personally for the loss of millions in market cap. If Dash succeeds, it will be in spite of, not because in any way of your participation. You are a blight on Dash, the cryptosphere, and humanity. You will go down in the record books as the most effeminate, dim-witted forum thug in the history of ever."

These are your words about Tao .. you are only now expanding it from blaming just Tao to blaming "Tao and his henchmen".
It really is a disturbing post to read.
And yes, Tao really is that respected. It is rather obvious you dont know anything about him, since you are this new to the community.

And it's rather obvious to me that he is a polarizing figure, judging by the many public and private accolades I have received for dressing him down.  Look, This is exactly what certain obstructionists are wanting: they want me and other reformers to get bogged down in arguments over personality, tactics, special interest groups, etc.  I don't care about Tao and the other thugs except that they are preventing us from meaningfully addressing real problems. If you think I am dealing with this obstruction unconstructively, that is your right. You have made your opinion known. Thank you for that.  How are we going to get enough people to buy dash or more dash so that we can function and grow? What are we going to do about the loss of market cap and market rank? Nothing? Wait out the bear market?  What if that is not enough?

As of this writing, we have dropped to #15 in CMC market rank, behind Etherium Classic, Tron, Monero, and Tezos.  I believe this is PRIMARILY due to having an unsustainable funding model. Censorship is only relevant to the degree it is preventing us from fixing it.

Half of what you mention here I agree with...the rest, not so much.  Market cap is a complete RUBBISH marker of any kind.  PERIOD.  Several of the assets in this supposed matrix of success are out right scam ICO coins.  Why are we even talking about CMC?!?  Its absurd to use a "ranking" when the majority of the coins on this list are plain out right shit...and even some of the top coins that do have something are so manipulated that its beyond the pale.

Frankly...if someone is using the CMC ranking as some kind of matrix to value their assest...they should just as well give me their money and I'll blow it for them.

I know of a least several coins that aren't even in the top 50 that have almost as much development if not more then the current list of the top 10 on CMC.

Personally i'm gonna wait out this bear market and make sure i'm not getting emotional,
thereby making rash decisions i may later regret. This is not the first bear market i have witnessed
for Dash and it will not be my last.

I disagree with our current funding model being a direct reason for the Dash price downtrend and i therefore dont see
a particular need to address our funding model right now. I think there is a lot of shorting going on with both Dash and Bitcoin,
which at some point will backfire. I also think OTC markets play a large role in the price downtrend and i think a lot of investors
find this period too volatile and decided to wait for more clear buy signals before stepping in. I still think that september could
provide the Dash market with more clear buy signals, but that also depends on Bitcoin.

My advice : stay calm, stay rational and just wait it out.

General question to the 3 people with 24 sockpuppets in here: If Dash is such a terrible scammy project that's about to die, why are you pathetic basement dwelling neckbeard losers still here wasting your time? Don't you have any furry porn left to jack off to?

The Greatest Con in the History of Cryptocurrency

Every emerging industry, market, or community has a certain degree of risk of exploitation by bad actors. Cryptocurrency is no different, with anyone able to create a project, convince droves of low-information investors to part with their money, and then scam them. However, it’s not the infamous now-defunct scams that are the largest offenders, but something greater. Something much more sinister.

Bitcoin was founded on hard-headed practicality and high-minded principles

Despite the fact that I considered Dash promising a coin and continue to think so, what happens today in the project makes you alert. There is a high probability that if the situation with the coin rate does not change, then panic can begin.

That is certainly true, we could very well see some panic selling by some weak hands. Although i'm not sure
what you mean with "the situation with the coin rate". There could be some panic selling, due to the lower
Dash price / market conditions.Cool heads will prevail though and this bear market will come to an end at some point,
question is not if but when.

Dash price currently shows 26.0 on the Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the long 1w interval charts.
I think Dash has currently one of the lowest RSI on 1w charts compared with other crytocurrencies in the
top 15, which could mean (speculation) that Dash bottoming out process is ahead of others.
It still fully depends on Bitcoin price movements though, a dip of Bitcoin below the $6000 could jeopardize
that Dash bottoming out process.

It really is a wait and see moment right now. In a way this bear market is providing a valuable lesson to traders :
after each bull market there will be a bear market. The strength of the bull market could very well reflect the
strength of the bear market. Be prepared for both market types.

I have to confess this bear market surprised me with regards to its severity, as did the severity of the bull market.
So i'm learning these lessons too.
