re: cryptsy - The 500 error has now turned into a connection error with a 'powered by incapsula' logo...

Didn't mintpal error messages have 'powered by incapsula' logo when they were hit by the DDOS attack and other problems?

Maybe just a coincidence, I suppose it's more than possible they use the same provider for their web security.

IT IS A HIGH TIME TO CREATE DECENTRALIZED EXCHANGES!
Bitshares X?

anyone used bitshares x already? it hit pretty high in coinmarketcap but I never read about how it works or used it. Looking at the wiki http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/Bitshares_X right now

well it hits high probably because there are 2 billion of it lol

If Dakrcoin had 2 bln coins our marketcap would be more than bitcoin's marketcap.

aehm... no! thats not how it works. people use the marketcap to recap the value of the coin

He's saying if DRK had 2B coins outstanding and the current price stayed the same, it would have a higher market cap than BTC.

Lawsky: Bitcoin Developers and Miners Exempt from BitLicense

This is a great news. Who doesn't want the damn exchanges like Mintpal to be regulated? As long as ordinary users and miners are excempt from regulations, there is nothing to fear from New York Bit license . Soon communities will start rolling decentralized exchanges via the wallet (BTC-DRK-BTC etc) and that will solve the many of the privacy concerns as well. I have a feeling that this recent Lawynsky announcement is gonna push Bitcoin price up.

http://www.coindesk.com/lawsky-bitcoin-developers-miners-exempt-bitlicense/

Since you ask - I don't want the exchanges to be regulated - even in this moment of chaos at some exchanges.

I hold this opinion because regulation leads to trusting the regulators, and historically that always fails. Regulators are human and subject to moral issues such as political arm-twisting. In the present climate the regulators tend to be aloof, authoritarian, arrogant, arbitrary, furtive, and - we have no way of knowing what else. Power really does corrupt.

The exchange problem is real. Regulation has to take some other form to become the solution, imho - some trustless form, presumably p2p.

I agree, but p2p exchanges present some problems that nobody has fully solved yet. We need more rational thinkers to tackle the issue, feel free to weigh in: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/mint-gox.2676/page-3#post-25697   Smiley

Edit: I made a slight change because of crouton's comment below - I am out of my depth in assessing the technological strengths/weaknesses of p2p. If something emerges that is trustless, with no known flaws, then I'm a very happy camper.

Gotta love the jab at Darkcoin there.
"Don't tell Darkcoin... Trading across chains is more anonymous than any other coin."
I smell bullshit. If transactions are atomic, the transaction size can be correlated across chains. You just need a history of currency conversion rates.
Basically they would need to ask Kristov Atlas to audit their design.
One more thing. This looks like what it is: a booster feature for Blackcoin. Blackcoin was fully instamined at launch. There's no ongoing proof of work. Yawn.

+1.

Fancy presentation and no substance.

Let me know when:

1. It exists
2. It works

I updated all masternodes to 10.15.13

But i have Inactive (0%) problem in some.

What is the problem?

https://i.imgur.com/5pCgNX5.png

I had the same thing on a couple of my MN's

i just now tried to start it up on the local wallet as well. will keep you posted on if that works for me.

Yea I have all my MNs as "inactive" there too. And the balance is slightly off on one of them as well. Sup?

I've got the same.

Masternodes that were running 10.14.1 and are now running 10.15.13 are showing as inactive, but darkcoind masternode list | grep is working and they are accepting payments.

New masternodes, created from scratch, running 10.15.13 are not showing up and darkcoind masternode list | grep is not working.

so bottom line : as long as we do the grep command and it returns a 1 we're good, even if the site says we're not?

just double checking...

I actually already received a payment on one of the MN's that was listed as inactive.

I just don't feel completely comfortable when it's not showing on the site,

I've had the same problem, it's fine. Just ride it out. As long as you're on the masternode list when your grep it then you're fine.

Walter

Due to the protocol version change, we have to wait until El Presidente and/or elbereth update their nodes.

So can the MN also act as a decentralised exchange too?

Not just for drk but for other crypto too? Not sure if that's possible in theory but with this mintpal situation it's hard to trust any exchange really.

No, they are not gonna start soon:

"Moolah @moolah_io  ·  8h 8 hours ago:
We will be suspending withdrawals shortly for the remainder of the day (17th). This is to allow us to apply missing balances in full."

Why would they need to suspend withdrawals in order to apply missing balances? That whole statement doesn't make sense. This is getting a whole lot worse. Less than 12 hours after bagholder advises he has coins in his account that shouldn't be there we get this... I know we have to be careful what we say on forums/twitter etc these days but it looks to me like Moolah haven't got a clue who owns what coins any more and every time they restore data from backups they're compounding the problem further.

It's beginning to look like a big bucket of coins is sitting there and they have no idea for certain how much belongs to each user. Utter bloody shambles. At the very least they're negligent as a company... and at worst their actions could be damn right fraudulent and criminal. Let's hope it's the former and that they're well insured...!

I feel so sorry for all these people with coins there. I really do hope they get this mess sorted.
