Is DRK planned to be part of the blocknet ?

They can simply add any coin they want in the "blocknet", they don't need permission from any particular coin's developers, it's all open source, right?

XC had premine, now they are collecting more money with XC Inc ITO, and now this Blocknet ITO. There's no indication on where the value for ITO buyers is, where does the revenue come from. I wonder how long this new thing will take to mature, they've been trying to get their simple chat application to work for months now. They should spend more time developing than coming up with new schemes and utopian dreams imo.

EDIT: interesting insight by SuperNET dev:

*********** Amber Alert ***************

World equity revaluation in progress.

Markets throwing toys out of pram at mintpal closing QE ending - want more. Trying to pin central bankers backs to the wall before traders turkey out on free money hose drying up.

Plunge protection teams out in force.

London down 2.4% - diving towards the 4:30 finishing line, ballast being offloaded like it was ebola infected horse manure (oops ! now 2.6%)

Q3 and Q4 GDP figures already being revised (which will only serve to endorse todays speculation).

As I'm writing this, London now -2.78%. That rocket is vertical alright but the engine's at the wrong end.

Having to rely on secondary sources for market feeds because Marketwatch has crashed due to nervous pensioners watching their life's savings being poured down the drain by over zealous central bankers who think that money is the same thing as value.

Observers noting that things would be a lot worse if there was a safe haven:

Cash ?? - zero return
Oil ?? - monkey hammered by Opec due to petulence
Gold ?? - monkey hammered by an endless supply overleavered paper shorts

That leaves crypto. Un uncapitalised train about to leave the station. Where is crypto now ? Think 1992 and travel agents vs web sites. One was a multi-billion dollar industry, the other was a geek hobby.

Within a few years they had entirely swapped places.

EDIT: Italy is now down 4.5% Spain 3.5% and London 2.8%. We're now on the back side of a tripple top that started in 1999.

Thought you might find this amusing toknormal. A bit of text lifted from The Daily Reckoning newsletter I subscribe to (Australian version). These guys have been calling the façade that world markets are all enamoured by for sometime.

Quote
--The only question now is how long it will take the Fed to start back-tracking on its ‘interest rate hike for 2015’ talk. After they do that, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them dip into the QE playbook…again. The big question though, it whether it will be too late to inject another round of confidence into the speculating community.

--They’re wheeling Janet Yellen out to speak at the end of the week, so we may get an idea of just what the Fed is thinking. Yellen must be careful to retain the market’s confidence. That the Fed has no idea what it’s doing is beside the point. What’s important is that the market thinks the Fed knows what it’s doing. Yellen must keep this con game going at all costs.

--Good luck with that. When you’ve got a bunch of panicked, slobbering trader yahoos in your face desperate for some sign that you’ve got it all under control, any minor slip-up can be dangerous.

--When traders panic, liquidity disappears in the blink of an eye. That’s because confidence creates liquidity, and fear destroys it. And right now it’s the fear of huge debt levels consuming economies that is weighing on traders’ minds.

Lol moolah, reading their twitter feed makes the scam so obvious. Get ready for a further decline in price until theyve dumped everything. Im holding on to my drk, the price will be back to original heights in no time once theyve dumped everything. This scam will hurt altcoins in general though.
if what slex said is true then they are done dumping their private holdings/non-customer funds. i suspect they had a bunch of extra drk that was not owed to customers and thats what they dumped. we'll see.
In light of the big expose concerning moolah and 'Alex Green' aka Ryan Gentle/Humble/Kennedy, it's interesting to continue tracking the activity of accounts associated with the MintPal master fund of 280k coins.
While the big 280k stash stopped moving (interestingly, right after we figured out there was suspicious activity), liquidation of the smaller addresses that were peeled off at eariler dates continues today. Cryptsy appears to be a favorite dumping ground.

Here is a very active temporary storage account:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/address.dws?XayVs4PcXxhbN1j67wquusZbczm1rttvax.htm
Here is an active Cryptsy receiving address where 11k DRK has run through it since September 15:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/address.dws?XfkDFtCS8dBPR5uFHvdXytWMqDpVNeVcCn.htm

It may take some time for the price of DRK to recover. In the meantime, snap up the cheap coins. Oh, if you're at Cryptsy, you'll have to compete with Evan's buy orders. There are some nice walls for you to dump into there, 'Alex'. Smiley

Who in the community provides masternode setup services still? I'm looking to make a list

Also, is there a good guide somewhere?
Question to the community? Based on this post I'm thinking there is a need for people like Mangled Blue and others that offer this service to help increase Masternode count to reach goal of Evan Duffield(3000 Masternodes). My son has the skills to setup MN's and also has web dev experience. We have talked about setting up a website to offer this (MN setup/shares) service. Website being a place users could go to monitor MN status and Huh other services. Not to downplay great service like Elerbeth's site but more user/customer specific. Thoughts?

Nothing at all wrong with your plan. Advertise, sell shares (maybe don't call them shares, some jurisdictions have all sorts of legal crap you need to be careful of) and offer a monitoring service. Pulling the MN info from a running daemon or out of the blockchain is reasonably straightforward.

Until then Mr Blue could you please kindly take my 500(+10) DRK to setup another MN? Surely there is someone out there that want's to match me...

I have an individual that wants to put in 600+12
Would you be willing to go 400+8
or
Do you want to go 50/50

Hit me back - I'm sending that person nearly the same message as this.......

Update:.........

Other person wants to go 60/40
S/he has 600+12
You would be 400+8

I would keep you on the list for your other 100+2 for the next  MN

Let me know, I'm collecting the DRK's now.

Send coins to:
Xxr2gX1NMhFTLB76NcsMnmdKR7KfwxKu8d

Your MN addy will be:
Xf4Yf53XdF6mUVua3NnxyhVm8kVtUKWzhu

Since this is public knowledge already, no problems posting this here.
Besides, it's good advertising :-D

You alive Lax?
Your MN partner awaits....
Thanks but I'm going to wait and invest with my son. He thinks he could setup similar service...My potential investment will hopefully motivate him to get it done.

The "Evan Buy Wall" about to be deployed?

I posted and deleted about five of those before you caught one   Grin
I just posted a short-term DRK trade to Twitter, noticing that there's some action going on at Cryptsy all of a sudden, and figured the action was due to some 'news' here or something. Guess I caught 'someone' trying to trade 'something'.

Another thing,
I was visiting thepiratebay and on the home page they have BTC and LTC address.

They should add drk, don't know how to contact them to tell them to remove both and add drk address, I think it fit better to the site.
Maybe some exposure:

Another MN is about to come on-line :-D
Give me about an hour :-D

The instalation of this one went really smooth.... little more than half an hour.

But I've to say that the one before this one was dificult....
Didn't understand what happen, it was the same day that we discover the false MN history.
After the masternode start : I had the message : Masternode start sucessfully in my local.
But
grep HotCold .darkcoin/debug.log : nothing
./darkcoind masternode list | grep My_ip : nothing...
Weird.
I had to re-do it completly, then it work but take lot of time to be online on both site https://drk.mn/masternodes.html, http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.html
Fisrt it was green on 2 of the 6 of the ElPresident site, but appear after an hour or two, And  after like 20h it go green on all 6...!!!..

Today after the start masternode it went green on all site in 2 minutes =)

Well jsut for the little story.

When should Onyx release?

I have a transaction that has been being broadcasted for 6 days now without any takers. How long must I wait to have the program give the coins back and tell me the transaction was a failure since I was cheap with TX fees? Or how do I eliminate the transaction while the program is not running? Or is there a node I can add that will accept my meager TX offering?

Basically the amount is less than 0.15 DRK and I only paid 0.00033 DRK for TX fees. I have stopped and started the program many time. And I have checked the log, and I see it making an effort.

Would this help you? https://darkcointalk.org/threads/frozen-transactions-why-it-happens-and-how-to-fix-it.1649/

I've managed to hit a roadblock...

I deleted the peers.dat, put some addnodes in the conf file, did the rescan, then waited while another computer on a different network caught up with the blocks. With the 60kb+ raw transaction saved, I tried to send it again on the other computer, but I noticed the commandline can not be as long as I need. So what I need to know is how to split it up, redirect it in, or pipe it in with a commandline.  Hopefully someone can help me out while I try to figure it out as well.

 Huh

Just cut and paste it in. It can be longer than the length of the box, if you're talking about the qt client. You could paste the complete works of Marcel Proust in there if you wanted.

It will not take it all. I've tried over and over. The raw transaction is 62,254 bytes all it will accept is 32,748 bytes. I've just noticed I'm only using v0.9.13.15, I will update to the latest and try again.

example:

getrawtransaction 52123febc4f61fe384252a64ee7daebabc3cabae97b7954b90aa70232794d5f0

0100000001a09c05d6f32801adc8592ed17214b88d8cfd643448d6cfa5fadd1a0c4b34cdf400000 0006b483045022071be3697934aa53ed86f217b34531e3f4f0ecb6c41df8f221f536e5005621ee4 022100fe06e286452a3cdecb8fecd67f05d8d7b9357759c9cf86f7500d2aaf2e12b757012103abb 9442be150b2499450c29f76880430ee1959b3c419b3dbb8f5289a34cf70ceffffffff01605af405 000000001976a914edf6e6c268f77059c701fee4c05276af662fbed988ac00000000

Blue bit is what you need to paste in. How are you ending up with something 62KB in size?

I completely understand how to generate the raw transaction from the transaction ID. And the newest version does not change a thing. What happened was, there's about 200 mining payment inputs, all gathered together for that meager total. So the raw transaction is massive and it simply will never be accepted with the console line limited how it is. What I need is an alternate way of entering, that gets around line length limitations. Anyone?

I can PM a pastebin link to anyone that wants to have a go. Or I can just put the link here if that's acceptable.

If I am understanding this correctly - you want to SEND a lot of tiny transactions and this is 62+kb.

If this is the case then use coin-control to select "chunks" and send out in many transactions.
OR
You can do the same thing and "send to self".

Gradually you will be able to decrease the overall "size" of the transaction(s) into 1-2 manageable chunks.

This is a similar problem I ran into with POS coin(s) BitcoinTalk Coin (TALK). I only have it and play with it to experiment with POS to better understand them. It's a dead coin anyway - lol

The transaction is sending all the little mining payments all to one address, and it still waits with a question mark in the program. So I want to either eliminate this transaction(since I think it only exists with me), or get it to be accepted.

I'll be trying the clean restart next, and I noticed a problem...the wallet.dat contains the whole raw transaction I'm having the issue with. I've tried the daemon, but windows command line has limits too. I just can't get past the line limit anywhere. I'll see about the command line length of linux...

OK, for future reference, consolidate all your micropayments bit by bit into a single lump in one address within your wallet before trying to send it anywhere. I'm amazed the qt client let you try and send it in the first place. Anything over 5000 bytes it should just tell you to get stuffed.  Smiley

Do you still see the amount you tried to send in your balance, or has it disappeared into limbo? If it's still there, do what I just suggested, if it's in limbo, delete everything in your .darkcoin folder except the wallet.dat file and fire up the wallet again, see if that helps.

If those don't work, try using the darkcoind daemon instead.

Close your qt client if it's running, open a terminal in the directory with darkcoind in, and type
Code:
./darkcoind
followed by:
Code:
./darkcoind sendrawtransaction <62kb hex crap>

A lot of garbage coins on there...

Ok but what if the bridge itself is something interesting and working effectively ? It would be nice to have more legit coin on it ... like you know ... DRK ?

I am sure this scheme would win a lot of legitimacy should DRK join... which in turn would make DRK lose ALL of its own completely.  Grin

Yet I recently came to the conclusion that BTC market is still a huge FIAT drain.....Most of the traders aren't keeping their gains in BTC (as they should) but periodically withdrawing it in FIAT. They enter the market with X fiat (or alternatively some BTC they bought a lot earlier) and leave with X+Y fiat but negligible to zero (or less than their initial) BTC.

And I don't see this changing any time soon.
When FIAT inflation will really take effect, they will just starve for even more FIAT and sell any BTC they held.

I think your probably right about that.

At the same, I would imagine that if people are making money out of it by pumping and dumping it with fiat and it doesn't completely kill the market then it will only strengthen it by attracting more liquidity.

The thing is, the marketcap is so tiny and the potential players so huge that I don't think it matters in the long run. There comes a point where the network effect reaches critical mass and another major revaluation occurs. Then the "fiatleak" pump and dump squads will just recommence at the new elevated reference level. That's the history of this market.

Remember - the entire market cap is only a function of the price of the last traded coin. If volume drops to zero and I sell one coin at $1600, I'll have quadrupled the markcetcap on that one sale. So what happens during a revaluation is that dumpers temporarily hold while the elevator is going up. Only a small part of the coin supply is traded while the price is rising - then it all starts again at the new high.

So don't worry - the fiatleak phenomenon is just one of the many "players" in the game. Their influence will ebb and flow just like that of merchants, small investors and miners. Right now they're in majority influence but they'll pull back once they've squeezed maximum value out of this phase and then the others will become dominant for a while.
