wow. Difficulty quickly recovered back to 2560 now. This is very impressive. A successful enforcement is what Darkcoin community needed for a very long time.

I don't want to troll but X11 is really raped by FPGAs now. Small frys like us don't have chance to be profit @ X11 anymore.
Raped? Block reward is up to 7 and 8 right now instead of 5 due to low diff (2k).

It's probably related to power costs and BTC prices (which affect DRK/$ ratio to some degree) that forced some miners with high electric costs to switch off.

Spot on,  I went from 30 down to 10 rigs, power bills were killing me...

my only problem with that rocket ship is that it should be pointed east at a 45 degree angle for the gravity burn to get into orbit or it will loose all its delta V and just fall back to earth.

Maybe i play to much Kerbal Space Program though

Shouldn't the problem be that Space Shuttles weren't intended to go to the moon? Tongue

Enforcement of masternode payments are now ACTIVE. You MUST update your pool software to pay out the correct amount or your blocks will be rejected by the network.

Q: Where was the original mandatory update announcement?

Wow still nothing from MintPal about my 'urgent withdrawal' nor anything regarding opening the site up again.
This is not good, folks. Feels very Goxy.

I think they just decided to start again and try to not loose those 8000 accounts this time.

You'd think the worst case scenario would be they'd just revert to the original site. (They would of course have backed it up  Shocked )

I think this may finally force bitfinex into the position they should be in. We shouldn't deal with exchanges that lack a DRK/FIAT option. Funny they didn't take over volume way back when they did that...

Mintpal will probably regret for offering "urgent withdrawals" option

http://blog.moolah.io/2014/10/05/mintpal-v2-current-state/

What a potential clusterfuck.
There goes 2fa just like that.
Plus they better have a massive team of hired IT pros in India ready to handle the mass exodus of withdrawal emails they're going to receive.
I hope the crypto community realizes what a bunch of amateurs are there at MintPal HQ.

I tested their urgent withdrawals out without any DRK coming in yet. These guys are seriously starting to piss me off.

Did you email them because your account is missing and did they reply?  My account 'does not exist' so I emailed them but no reply or BTC yet.

I got the "this withdrawal has been passed for processing" reply 2 hours ago. This is all too coincidental that MintPal has basically disappeared off earth and BTC stamp has multimillion dollar sells.

Wow still nothing from MintPal about my 'urgent withdrawal' nor anything regarding opening the site up again.
This is not good, folks. Feels very Goxy.

Okay, several people in this thread asked me to do power tests, and I finally got around to it. Unlike my first Kill-A-Watt, this one hasn't melted... yet. I used a slightly older version, cause I'm in the middle of a rewrite for one hash.

For the people who just don't give a fuck about the details and want the results, here: 12.84% more power for 34.34% more hash overall. You can stop reading now.

For the rest of you, the system has a 270X, 280X, 290X, and 7950, all at stock voltages. All power draw measurements were done at the wall.

Power draw at idle - that is, after I booted it and let it sit for 5 - 10 minutes - is 123W.
Running the stock SGMiner 5 from GitHub (commit e481d67e59ad60edc69c026617219f8fae9d6c6e), the hashrate over all cards used was 16.60MH/s while pulling 740W from the wall.
Using the exact same miner code, cloned to a different folder to prevent mistakes, with my OpenCL, the hashrate was 22.30MH/s, using 835W in the process.

The configuration used for both tests follows - the GPUs, in order, are 270X, 290X, 7950, and 280X.
xintensity 128,64,128,128
worksize 64
engine clock 1155,1050,1155,1155
memclock 1500,1600,1500,1600
powertune 20,50,20,50
gpu-threads 2
gpu-fan 80

In closing, I'm glad people kept asking for this, because sitting down and measuring the average increase over most relevant AMD GPUs (Pitcairn, Tahiti, and Hawaii), has been slightly disappointing. My earlier estimates were based off of the hashrate of Hawaii (my 290X) only - seeing this average increase motivates me to do more of the time-consuming, difficult, aggressive optimizations rather than looking for more low-hanging fruit. Power use was also slightly higher than I expected - while I anticipated maybe 8% - 9%, it's actually nearly 13%. While that doesn't make the speed increase not worth it - nowhere near - it still could use some more experimentation and work.

Those power to hash figures aren't that great, you could do much better with a little underclocking...

I know - clocking them as high as they will go, and at stock volts.

The 270x and gen2 280x you can get almost as efficient as the 750ti.... With a bit of tap dancing :-)

I think we should rejoice that this big hassle is behind us now.
It was the root cause of the two failed forks, and it was an absolutely prerequisite to entirely squash it before going forward to leave this ordeal behind us.
