Open source mustn't necessarily mean that its going to be published under a GPL or CC license.
The code could be open sourced, but with a proprietary license, limiting the rightful use to real developments based on the concept.
Why not...?

because open means open Smiley

Looking forward to the open sourcing, big step in the right direction for darkcoin.

If i would have a vps with 2 ip addresses should something like this not work to start the masternode with the second ip address? Its running still on the primary ip not on the second ip but with a different port.

Sorry guys - but new site doesn’t look like like promo site of «first and only already working, easy and ready to use anonymous coin» for ordinary people.
It looks like techno-blog for crypto-geeks testing prototype who already know everything about Darkcoin.

So this new site is great for active adepts of Darkcoin - OK. But to attract new people - IMO we need smth like https://bitcoin.org site.

May be we need to have bouth 2 sites:
1. Promosite to attract users-investors with professional design, usability, promo articles, video, ... with simple interface (strong selling site). Click to understand -> Click to download -> Click to buy. No distracting info.
2. Techno-blog with all the information for adepts that already use Darkcoin and intrested in RS, mining pools, updates and all such stuff ...

+1
Like the "First and only fully-functional and easy-to-use anonymous coin."

The first thing newbies see now is some Mandatory update that sounds like the coin was broken & needed an urgent fix. Not the best key selling message.

Also - the first line of definition people may still read is soooo boring: Darkcoin (DRK) is an anonymous digital currency based on the Bitcoin software. - To me it sounds very much like just another BTC clone.

cheers to everyone that has made it through the challenges we all faced while hodlin our drk ( maybe sneak a few wee trades here n there, lol) but we never left drk..we accumulated because we all knew that we are going to do something big, so big that alot of us havent even realised.
drk will be used by all and we will all be reminded about our times on this troll box, expressin our emotions to strangers ...strangers that had one goal...to make something better for all.

Am I wrong here..................... or

Did we not hit 90% this past morning?

http://imgur.com/lJBTs9m.png checks payments (20 % + 10%)

I don't know enforce_masternode_payments will check % of payment.

All the customers of NICEHASH use unapid pool ?
What a bullshit !
(NICEHASH claims customers select their pool, really ?)

your looking at the MN's .. you need to focus on the pools : https://drk.mn/blocks.html

current % complying with 20% MN payouts
: 68.59

Edit : to be honest i think we will have a difficult time convincing the pools that pay only 10% MN right now (18.77% of the pools) to switch to 20% MN payout
so i think it will be a waiting game untill Evan decides to activate the switch and enforces it.

I understand I might be left standing alone on this but I liked the rc4 algo for determining payment to masternodes better.

This new website feels a little bit like a waste of effort. It is not better than the previous one, if not, worse. It looks cheap and dated, definitely not professional. It's weak. No offense, I'm just commenting on what I'm seeing. We need to step up by either the foundation hiring some skilled individual or company with a good reputation and portfolio, or we need to raise some funds to do this ourselves.

So let me get this straight.

Darkcoin's developer:

* Invented X11, which is used by countless coins now.
* Invented DWG, difficulty re-targeting which is used by countless coins now
* Re-built CoinJoin so it works
* Had his code audited by Kristov Atlas and has passed the review, so now the anon layer is being open sourced on Monday.
* Created an anoncoin coin which has a higher market cap than all the other anon coins

Yet, Darkcoin doesn't make the list?

I'll just inform the Darkcoin developer that there is no proof of his existence and Darkcoin must have just magically appeared from eBay or somewhere.

WTF

Meanwhile, even coins created "yesterday" are on that poll  Cheesy. Fear not, Darkcoin will soon reach more people outside this forum.
