Can the XC supporters who are posting here please refrain from posting here.

If people want to go comparing the 2 coins , then find some neutral party to create a XC vs DRK thread or something. Some of us here own both currencies and don't feel the need to cross post new releases in an attempt to bait people.

Send Kristov's review to this guy to shut him up. Really unprofessional of him to start talking about other coins again. This is how the FUD war started a few months ago. He is not in the position to make such statements, independent people should be doing that. I guess he is jealous of our success. I just dumped all my XC I was holding as a hedge (10 BTC worth), and bought more DRK. I don't want anything to do with this guy.

please don't judge the whole community based on a few idiots who are still sore from previous encounters. Both coins compared to the majority of cryptos are in the highest of standings. in development work, advancement of technology and usefulness to crypto.

 Cool Cool Cool

I am DONE now... enjoy the buly run for DRK boys

Thanks for the info on XC I just had a browse. The architecture looks like a real mess and security-wise more potential holes than a Swiss cheese in terms of attack vectors. Centralised means controlled by a single authority, drk just enables elevation of a segment of nodes using agreed rules and the fact that this backbone is hosted opens a lot of doors for stuff not envisaged yet e.g. network apps.

Consumers will choose decentralised hosted backbone over a free-for all where random broadband connected nodes 'don't know where funds are coming from or going to' because masternodes provide better security performance functionality and reliability, the best architectures always find the best compromise and turn that into an advantage, drk has done that work already.

I'm sure a lot of new coins will be trying to get a solution without elevated nodes because they think it's a weakness in drk they can exploit from a PR point of view by saying drk 'isn't decentralised', actually it's a waste of time, drk team already found the best architecture, master nodes will give consumers confidence due to what it takes to set them up and operate them and that they are known on fixed IP. XC architecture sounds more like pirate bay which is great for downloading movies but not for trusting financial transactions I think. Just my 2 cents Smiley

The Buck Stops Here.
It's a paid PR from the XC team, what else would you expect. Pookie is a trader. He liked DRK when it was cheaper and probably traded out and is riding XC (or at least reduced). Again, he traded in and out of that as well.

Bitcoin Magazine wasn't a paid PR... there PR Web article on Yahoo Finance was...

With content essentially from the PR. It's misleading as it relates to centralization.

Well master-nodes are semi centralized ( and dont use that every person can have a Masternode crap because the price and set up isnt for EVERYONE)  as opposed to every wallet being a node meaning DE-centralization  because even if people cant afford to run a node or have the no-how to set up a masternode the wallets in XC do it for ya

BTW i hold 2k Dark... I also have XST XC and SDC Im fully hedging ANNON

lol, there was more than ample time to buy 1000 coin blocks if you wanted to set up a MN. Further, how is having every client able to setup  a node any better than one person (or government entity) setting up tens of thousands (if not more). There is no barrier to snooping so to speak. In theory, every wallet acting as a node is great and true decentralization, however, the end result is  no restriction for malicious parties from putting nodes up.

Thats where the X-Mixer comes in my friend.... you really should give it a read

Dude, just leave this thread. Your XC dev Dan is clueless. With every revision he just tries to match Darkcoin with a half assed approach. Stop trying to ride on the coat tails. That's all your loljosh currency has been doing from the start.

XC=Garbage PoS wannabe Darkcoin.

Exactly. Was just going to post about Sybil attacks.

Not sure how many people were around back when masternodes where first discussed, but there are very good reasons why every node was not made into a masternode.

Quote
RC5 - Spork Ahead!

Development has been moving along consistently and we’re almost ready to launch. We’re going to be launching RC5 on the 22nd (Next Monday).

Instant Transactions

We’re working on a paper describing the instant transaction system, expect that on Friday. We’ll also have more announcements and very detailed development update coming later this week.

What's included and what's the plan?

RC5 has a basic version of enforcement built into it that when activated will guarantee masternode payments are present in a block. So far, testing has proven the code is working and we're in the process of working out some of the final issues with it. The code is very simple and when activated the network will simply reject blocks from pools that have not updated.

Open Source

Darksend will be open sourced one week after RC5 has been released, September 29th. This will allow updates if needed before the code is released.

What's Next?

Darksend is working really nicely with no pressing issues presently. I would like to take some time and implement the Instant Transaction system immediately following release or RC5.

Swings and roundabouts

* Kristov code review, positive
* RC5 22 Sept, positive
* Open source 29 Sept, positive
* Instant transactions paper, positive

About 4 weeks of positive activity, I guess.

That means we have to put up with trolls for 4 weeks while the price keeps going higher. *Sigh*

Pretty much, right on time

Guys stay on topic, dont feed the XC trolls, poor enough they show up in here.

Masternodes are decentralized as everyone is able to set up one. Simple as that. By the way there is nothing inbetween centralized and decentralized.

Go on the page and leave a comment
as the story is just written WRONG !!!
