I'd like to get a feel from the darkcoin community about including you in the SuperNET coin group I'm creating.  I anticipate it will bring in about 10,000 bitcoins to invest in select altcoins.  Please post on this thread why you think DRK would be a good candidate.

Anyone know of a DRK to USD payment gateway?
Hi
I use coinpayments.net.
Payment gateway for webshops and/or invoicing your customers directly.

With auto payout to any other exchange, where you can then have the coins converted to fiat. (like cryptsy, bitfinex)

I really would like to know if the talented young gentleman creating our delicious new gui (drklord) was at least out of the hospital and OK.

For those of you wondering, the new GUI wallet project continues, yes unfortunately DRKLord have had some health issues recently and that is of course a priority over volunteering on the project. Having said that, we have a good foundation for the new wallet already. At this point the current wallet is still evolving from a functionality perspective so it is better to have something final before improving usability and design, so the new wallet will have to come after RC5 and open source. This should give DRKLord sometime to recover, or Evan will assign additional resources to the project. Darkcoin is the best crypto coin project in the market and deserves the best wallet. Just dont expect a new wallet with RC5 the priority is getting the technology open sourced and working properly on mainnet the new wallet will come after that.

+1 Thanks for the fabulous work it looks really good, hope DRKLord is back with us soon!

Come on friends, lets turn this into a business. Lets make that business money.
I won't hide that my inclination is to give this business to the people, because I believe money is people's business.

I'm curious why this has never been spit out into my log files before... I sit and watch my logfiles scroll, relaxing... I've never seen this until the last 20 minutes.

One of my Neptunes just found a block... Too bad I wasn't solo mining.

Ideally, you'd just send a coded txt message to a hot brunette in Panama who's forever indebted to you because you once saved her entire village from a plague of zombie alien tentacle-horrors, and she'd do the Darksend for you with dumped privkeys written in rapidly fading ink sent via burner carrier-buzzards. Or something. Don't forget to wear a pretty gingham frock and a good wig.

Hahahahahahaha  - and I was still cracking up about CroutonNetTM

A mobile device a totally different beast to a PC. I have run exclusively linux-based OSs for almost a decade now and can be fairly confident that any system I install is clean upon installation. To do the same on a mobile device I don't think there is any way other than by voiding your warranty. Iphone - no. Windows Phone - no. Android - no.  Although Android is open source all manufacturers and some operators install their own skins on  devices, and come with GApps installed, which are not open source. Of course being open source does not guarantee it is 100% secure, nor is closed source a sure sign of malintent, but I just want to illustrate that we are not dealing with PCs here, where more control is possible. An unofficial app can shun all responsibility but an official app probably doesn't have that luxury.
As I said, it's about finding a compromise that you individually are happy with - degree of insecurity vs hassle. You can stuff linux onto an android phone if you really want to, but you're still using closed source hardware to run the whole shebang on...

There isn't a one-stop shop or one-click solution to keeping you safe from MI6/Mossad/NSA, whoever. But you can certainly escape your greedy ex...  Grin
Remote BIOS flash that roots you like a bare-metal IPMI. Or better yet, when you buy it from NewEgg, the install it before you even get the motherboard/laptop...

Paranoid?

This is why I buy retail, and usually when I'm out of town. I can't be targeted by my shipping address.
