My guess is that your new wallet has lost the addresses relating to the 100 drks after you ran salvagewallet. I would try to backup current wallet to a new location. Find old wallet and try to run salvagewallet again. See if it changes.
I've tried all kind of machinations with my wallet.dat files and it always ends up the same way.

1. Make sure darksend rounds = 1 under options.
2. Post transactions ids for the unconfirmed transacts here. Actually, find it on the explorer and post it here.

I've got an EXTRA 900DRK, unconfirmed, don't know why it's there... 0/6, blocks no likey. Been there through everything. All other operations went smoothly during recovery and denom... Extra 900 DRK still hanging around... It being unconfirmed is proper and appropriate, just wonder why it's there...
Wallet corruption. I have an extra 3.48621317 DRK lurking in my wallet since May the 20th 23:11:22, when I made a donation to kristov atlas over 20 DRK, but somehow the darkcoin-qt wallet back then thought it would be cool to "use" 23.48631317 DRK to make that 20 DRK donation.
Go and look at my transactions:

So, therefor my wallet is still showing this plus of 3.48621317 DRK... which is wrong, it should show the amount that https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/address.dws?XtAdMy5nSxArut6rKKLQXxm84rpJNipXib.htm shows.
What can I do to fix my wallet?
Mind you, this is something that happened nearly 3 months ago... it has nothing to do with RC4.

delete everything in the folder where it was
run latest qt
wait for new chain
close client when new chain full
move backup wallet over the one that the qt just created
launch qt with --salvagewallet option
just doing the --salvagewallet option won't do it. It's probably something in chainstate that needs killed, but it's easier to just wipe the whole folder and MAKE SURE YOUR BACKUP IS NOT IN THERE WHEN YOU WIPE IT!

wait for new chain
close client when new chain full

I have a little bit different issue and it didn't help. My denominate transaction got stuck for 6 hours and --salvagewallet option works strangely. It returns only 500 drk, not my total balance(~623.6). What do?

Will the price ever recover after all the problems? 
1) corrupted wallet I had had nothing to do with the client or RC4 launch. Maybe it got lost int he trolling, but I said as much.
2) stuck TXes are more of a finicky clutch than a seized turbo... I wouldn't call it a problem. They can be handled and knowing how to shift eliminates the matter altogether.
