sorry, i have .26 synced... how can i start anonymization proces?? by command or what

It is automatic, but it may take a while to start depending on network conditions, number of coins you own, etc.

It's not, by default anomizacion is OFF have to change a parameter in the conf file :
-enabledaemondarksend=1

Hmmm or for only the deamon... and not the qt..?!

Daemon is off by default because that is what exchanges, pools, and other entities that probably don't want their coins mixed will use. Normal end users normally use the qt client so it is on by default in that case.

Ohhhh so in the qt it's ON by default!.

Ok should take care because a lot of us have the local wallet of the MN in windows and usse QT.

When you run the qt with masternode=1 in the darkcoin.conf as you need to do for the local remote setup, it wont denominate or mix.  So no worries

URGENT: DARKCOIN.IO HAS WRONG LINK FOR .26

Clicking the link to download the .26 wallet for linux takes you to https://raw.githubusercontent.com/darkcoinproject/darkcoin-binaries/master/rc/darkcoin-0.10.12.25-linux.tar.gz and gives you a 404 Not Found

Technically, the link and web text specifies 25... file has been removed since 26 is the new release and the site hasn't been updated.

do an ldd on the client you downloaded. it will probably show 4.8 as library. and the wallet.dat file was probably created using a client compiled with 5.x :-/
1) doesn't explain why some work and some don't all made on the same system in the same state
2) happened before I upgraded the client
3) been using nothing but official binaries since april
4) one minute it reads it, the next it won't...

I'm now down to one file that won't load no matter what... I have made no changes to libdb as dpkg claims all versions are installed at once, but when trying to uninstall/purge, apt claims no libdb is installed at all...

camo: SSD or HD?
SSD are no good choose for a backup. Use a real HD when possible.
A magnetic, encrypted 500GB USB 3.0 and an 8GB encrypted micro USB. Wallet.dat files became unreadable at random.

2 were recovered on my laptop so far.

Something has gone tragically wrong and I don't think it has anything to do with the DRK client.  My xubuntu has gone mad with impossible shit that makes no sense...

take a look here : https://darkcointalk.org/threads/corrupt-masternode-walet-after-rc3-soft-fork.1601/page-5

i dont know what the result in the end was, maybe flare remembers it ..

This is  stated when you compile the client from source. 4.8 is the one that is looked for by default, and makes your wallet 'portable'.
5.x - as stated during make, makes your wallet not 'portable', and must be overridden at compilation time.

I think the drive encryption key in RAM got flubbed.

Evan gave me a good idea how to potentially recover it, but I doubt it's going to work given the nature of the drive encryption, nor can I pull it off in my current state of mind...

this explains why the backups are also broken...try downgrading the client and restore a backup

I can't believe that no one is checking the files with:

https://www.virustotal.com/en/

You put yourself on high risk if you don't check files you download.

If there was a virus people would have long reported it by now  Roll Eyes

There was a windows trojan horse for LTC, a friend of mine was hit by it - all 1200 or so LTC gone (basically it sent the wallet.dat file to a central server, where it was brute forced).
But I don't believe that something can target your offline backups, unless you plug them in and damage is done that moment.

SD cards have a small switch to make them RO. And paper wallet is read only by default.
