After a month, my masternode went listed and inactive (or enven not listed) on the Chaeplin site.

Is there some update to do? Is it normal that since the 27 the masternode became inactive (or not listed on 2 nodes)?

Thanks for helping.

ssh into your server and see if darkcoind is still running.

What does darkcoind masternode list | grep report?

Check the 1000DRK balance hasn't been touched.
I'm an absolute noob in linux and I was helped to set the MN up a month ago.

Since then I only look on the Chaeplin site with my Pubkey if the MN was up. Today it's not green anymore.

So you say that even if I did not perform some updates recently the MN has no reason to be down since the 27 (last payment)?

So "python and qt installed" running on a MAC ?
is there a download link for us ??
I know bugger all about macs but I assume you already have qt if you're running the qt wallet, you would just need to install python if you don't already have it.

When it's a bit more polished I'll post the source - it's only about 80 lines of python so far, no compile needed, just make the script executable and run.

Right now it's just a testbed, I'm learning this stuff in preparation for utilising the hell out of the MN network as that becomes possible.
cool man
keep us posted
would be great to have that running !
i know there is a lot of interest in something like this
at least : Total Masternodes: 869 = 842 actives + 27 inactives

These 2 long posts can be summed up as:
MMS cures Ebola.

Interesting stuff.

I have long suspected that big pharma are sitting on the cures for a lot of medical conditions because symptomatic treatments are hundreds/thousands of times more profitable. The fuckers would ban aspirin if they could.

edit:
He had to form a church in which MMS is the church sacrement to get around all the persecution.

Hahaha fucking brilliant. We should form a Church of Darkcoin in NY and have DS+ as our sacrament, let the shitheel legislators chew on that one a while...

Yes it's real. Very handy for quickly checking your MN balances and state of health, and the one-click update is all ssh tunnelled.

Should run on anything with python and qt installed, though it needs a few small python extras beyond the standard distribution.

And you can choose whatever background you like, doesn't have to be a redhead, or SFW... I can actually play movies in the background too but that's getting a bit off-mission...

One click Masternode updates!  Grin

(Well OK you have to type some shit into the boxes but I'll make it so those details can just be loaded from a textfile, except the password obviously. Less shit to type if you use ssh key files.)

I have also learned how to do multiple MN updates simultaneously but wrestling with GUI layout is horribly time consuming.

Does this exist for MAC ??
Tx
(without the redhead please, i am more into blonds)

Is this thing for real?
MasterNode updating software?
What OS's are you making it for?
This would be freaking Awesome!

Gah, I'm so frustratingly close to having enough coins for a MN but I'll just have to wait until next pay day I guess Cheesy

At least it gives me more time to read up on making sure I set it up perfectly.

Hello,

I have a question about MN, I build MN successfuly and get pay drk every day, I want to ask can I check out some drk from MN's wallet ?The precondition is I will remain 1000 drk in this MN wallet. Can this action impact MN crash or need I restart MN to recover it to normal?

Thanks.
Yes, you can send it out. If you have, lets say 1013.8082300 DRK, simply send out 13.7 DRK and the 1000 wont be touched. If you are sending from the running masternode, the 1000 coins are locked anyways. Save to try.

Not anymore vertoe. That ended a few versions back. Now you need coin control to to be sure you dont touch the 1k vin

I've been contacted by someone who had an interesting problem, and shows a potential danger of shitcoin cloning that I've never before seen discussed.

BTCS address generated. BTC sent from BTC wallet to BTCS address. BTC accepts this address into the blockchain because BTCS is so heavily cloned that it uses the same schema. Nobody has the privkey associated with the address that now exists in the BTC blockchain.

It should be possible to export the BTCS privkey from the BTCS wallet and then import it into the BTC wallet, and poof, access to the lost coins. But, is the party who possesses that BTCS privkey willing? Will they just import it to their own wallet and say "Too bad, so sad!" Or worse, pretend it didn't work and keep it... I guess I can just monitor that address forever to see if it moves...

What potential scam quality would exist for pretending this scenario? Could something like this happen with DRK and an X11 shitcoin? Seems it could happen with any coin for which the proof schema is cloned.

Can Masternodes mitigate this by means of their hybridized proofing mechanism? Or if masternodes are cloned by the shitclone, too, would that also make it moot? Is there a way to make a dynamic proof in the hybridized proof system that would negate this even if the exact same schema is shitcloned? If so, that would be another really big win for masternodes/DRK/The Duffinator as this goofed TX would just fall out of the memory pool, or never be accepted to begin with, instead of the clusterfuck described above. Something temporally pseudo-randomized, or hashed against current block height to achieve same but disproving inter-blockchain stupidity since hash won't match...

At any rate, it shows just how little effort was put into BTCs proof method... It prevents false negatives, but not false positives.
Merkleroot will be different, so private key will be different. The coins are gone.
I'm not so sure... I'd like to see it. Since the address is deriven from the privkey, it might not matter if BTC is sloppy enough, and it might be... the privkey may be different, but that doesn't mean it won't function as proof according tot he client... I can make several GPG privkeys that can decode the same pubkey-encoded message...

If this is a loss, and it may well be, there seems to be an obligation on the part of shitclones that is being shirked, and shows even Satoshi made no effort... This could be a "wait for the memory pool to give it back" instead of a "your coins are lost, sucks to be you."

UPDATE:

MintPal says they get this problem all the time and that exporting the privkey from BTCS wallet and importing it to the BTC wallet DOES WORK.

We'll see what the person who lost his coins says. Mintpal says they won't proceed using me as a middle-man, which is 100% understandable. I'll have to wait until I hear back from the affected party.

This is a real eye opener...

found this
Awesome. Exactly as I suspected...

Now, is there a way to leverage the hybrid proof system to dynamically keep this from happening? It would be nice to just see them fall out of the memory pool into the original wallet instead of dicking around...
