If getting a masternode is sooooo easy why don't you get one?

I don't have one. Stop bitching they are needed for anonymising and future services.

RC4 is coming be ready.

I guess raising MN rewards to 50% is good against multipools.

Why do you think so?

Furthermore, the less miners darkcoin has, the more block reward they get, right?

This is not specific to Darkcoin, but to all cryptos:

Hashrate affects difficulty, difficulty affects block reward, block reward affects miners, miner affects hashrate. This is called a feedback loop.

Yes and a high Premined coin GOOD too...

SCAM operations => short term proofits, and the the coin dead on the long run...

You will find below a fork of the p2pool code with the 20% tax code disabled.

git clone git://github.com/repojohnray/p2pool-altcoins-drk-taxfree.git

Here is a public p2pool node using this fork code; You can join.

A very good idea. This coin goes in a very bad direction since the 'masternode' concept. And this 20% tax is very bad for the coin value. Giving free coins, like the classical premined concept, always results in a scam

This tax free pool update operates fine. A little more power will be better.

Anyway for the masternode scam operation. We can summary free coins => SCAM, and 0.00 USD  value in the long run. Good luck to kill the coin.

It appears as if x11.ltc1btc.com are upgraded. Only need to solve blocks to confirm. 2 out their 4 pools are compliant.

They use just 2 pools. 01 and 02 are offline. So x11.ltc1btc.com is 100 %.

Things just keep getting better and better !!  Shocked We are officially at the 85% mark!!

It is quite probable, that by this time tomorrow, we reach voluntary 99% network compliance, without using a fork.

It is beautiful to see history in the making.

Over the past couple of days, I've made huge leaps in the Darksend technology. In fact, RC4 will be the final solution to Darkcoin's anonymity. The client will automatically look at all of your funds and it will be able to tell which funds are not anonymized, if it finds non-anonymous outputs it will run them through a darksend with other clients. After that process, users can send without Darksend using the anonymous outputs for instant transactions without waiting for other nodes (with no upper limit on transaction sizes).

The other thing you're missing is that there is a reason I forked Bitcoin. Adoption for Darkcoin will be MUCH faster and easier for vendors, because all of the APIs are the same.

Expect more news in a few days. I have lots of work to do, but soon we can start testing all of this new functionality.

After you pay someone in DRK, is there a way to prove that you payed?

Yes, the receiver generates an address just for you. You transfer monies to that address. The blockchain shows that monies have been transferred to that address.

I thought the blockchain was hidden.

It's not hidden, but the transactions are so scrambled that you can't tell where the coins have originally originated from. But you can see how many coins an address has, and when it got them.

Sorry for noob questions.

Don't be, the harsh response trolls are getting shouldn't shy people away from asking genuine questions.

No money is Pre-privatised. So you transact normally. The block chain is a fog in terms of working out who sent what where, but you and the person you payed still have your transaction ref.

There is no way that the most regulated industry on the planet is ever going to embrace Darkcoin

I also found that questionable, although nobody really knows which way any of this is going to go. I think you're on very weak ground with that "regulation" argument as I've pointed out about a million times. I just think they're going to avoid ALL crypto for as long as they can. Once embraced we'll be in such a totally different ballgame that nobody is going to be making a distinction between transparent and opaque. They'll ALL be regulated as if they were opaque.

That there will be a large market for an "anonymous" is kind of academic though, given that that's the current state of expectations from the fiat system. Even without any use whatsoever it has substantial value as a hedge.

I didn't think it would go this low so fast.

How low would you like it to go ?

I actually think it might test .007.  Not that I want it to.  I just have a feeling that it might.  If it does I'll jump in.  But not for long.  You could lose your ass on this one if your not careful.

Big boys and Big money are behind Bitcoin.  Just wait until it's traded as an ETF under the symbol COIN.

I can hardly wait, because Bitcoin becoming a great success is obviously great for Darkcoin. Just wait until the big boys and big money finds out about Darkcoin, and why they need it.

Someone made a comment here a couple of months ago about the Private Banking sector being all over DarkCoin and DarkSend.  That IMO is one of the many applications for DarkCoin that will appeal to high net worth individuals that value privacy...

I'm not a front office trader nor do I have a Finance degree, however I've been working in the Investment Banking industry for 15 years and let me assure you, when that sector catches wind of DarkSend+ and we have a fully tested system of anonymity, the investment is going to come flooding in like a tidal wave...

You have to be kidding.

There is no way that the most regulated industry on the planet is ever going to embrace Darkcoin.

The Banking sector all over Darksend.  Not in a million years.

I am fully invested in DRK, why the hash rate and price are going down?

drk to the moon Angry

It's like a spring pushed down waiting to be released. What will be the catalyst that releases it remains to be seen. I'd guess it's gonna be the first privacy appreciative merchants that start accepting it.

Any tips on the best path forward for Darkcoin acceptance and integration?

We are planning to add Darkcoin as an additional crypto-currency to our new gaming site https://win88.me

When the 10 DRK limit is lifted, we should start marketing DRK to merchants with full force.

Or maybe we can make that dynamic for the MN payment too.

Yup it all really starts once the 10 dark limit is lifted. Then everyone can promote the coin actively.
50% fak off.. it'll stay 20. There are other x11 coins more profitable right now so most multi pools will go after them.
Sometimes we are the most profitable sometimes not. And due to the reward structure we are less susceptible to multi pools than most coins. A little bit more demand and we'd be climbing again.

MN payments are already dynamic as the block reward is dynamic. When the difficulty lowers MN get payed more too.

Although i'm satisfied with 20% for the payment which fit the Pareto principle. What will happen when we make it more dynamic than fixing on the 20%? Just curiousness~  Grin
