What's commonly referred to as "Proof of Stake" is used for generating blocks. The "Proof of Service" mechanism doesn't do that. Also you aren't being paid for "staking" but for providing a service, i.e. running a masternode. That you need to prove possession of 1000 DRK (which in fact is a proof of stake technically) is imho not directly related to being paid but to being able to run the service in the first place.

So, realistically... along with x11.ltc1btc.com, we will have 99,9% (off the top of my head) of network update and consensus pretty soon.
