One Token to Move Anything Anywhere
As the days go by, I watch the work going on at Darkcointalk. As Dark starts climbing back up, gathering speed, I'm going to wonder why many altcoin investors didn't see this coming.

I tried sending some Darkcoin but I keep getting this message: 'to use denominate you must have at least 11DRK with 1 confirmation'  Huh
Why?

Do you have at least 11 DRK in your wallet?

No I don't but is that a requirement? Because that would be the first coin for which that applies.

Are you using darksend or normal transaction? What wallet version?

I have wallet: v0.10.11.5-unk-beta
I am trying to send some to Cryptsy using the normal transaction method.

Check your syntax carefully!

I understand what you're saying, like maybe I have a typo, correct?

At this point my brain is so shaken up from trying to figure out how to mine crypto, each coin having unique requirements and me failing hard, I should just give up.

Your average person will never get into crypto when everything is so discombobulated. This isn't a dis on dark, this is a dis on all cryptocurrencies.

EDIT: I re-downloaded various shit, checked file paths, verified sanity, computed shatter to vape, calmed down, became flabbergasted again, and eventually ran Simple GPU Miner again and the magical dos cmd "black box" appeared once again. I have (had?) an IQ of 85, but maybe now 55, as cryptocurrency has killed me brain.

You want next bitcoin?

Simple.

Create a coin that anyone can use, anyone can mine, and most users don't have to enter support requests or ask complicated questions. I have a feeling Bitcoin will figure this out before some miracle-altcoin-dev.

I feel your pain, but i need to says: Default (cpu) mining is easy - in every coin

Code:
setgenerate true

It's getting complicated when it comes to GPU/FPGA/ASIC/QUANTUM mining  - and yes: The next bitcoin should integrate a user friendly GUI for at least the most common mining tools  Wink

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 sgminer -k darkcoin -o http://elitter.net:7903 -u Xqtkkpugx3voWqFrwrUF8op6xbwLAJo1zX -p p -o http://q30.qhor.net:7903 -u Xqtkkpugx3voWqFrwrUF8op6xbwLAJo1zX -p p -I 13 --balance

Ok I've made the change but now when I run GPU Coin Miner the black cmd box does not appear, wtf.

Check your syntax carefully!

Case in point!
See how helpful he was? [cough!]

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer -k darkcoin -o http://elitter.net:7903 -u Xqtkkpugx3voWqFrwrUF8op6xbwLAJo1zX -p x -I 13 --balance

I think that might work, but I'm not an expert. If it doesn't, try removing the  "--balance" part, I don't know what that does.
There's also a miner out there that uses "-k x11mod" that is faster. (Shhh! Don't tell anybody! We don't want them to know they are getting screwed! Smiley )

I appreciate the help man! I do, I'm just tired. I know there are great people here that try to help. I'll give it a shot in the morning. One last hope.

I noticed this too when I first got into cryptos (not long ago). It's total elite. They don't even want most people to be able to figure it out at first, so they can mine all the coins. But then later they want everybody to use their shit. It's actually pretty lame.
And yes, you're right. Most people won't want to go through all this crap for some weird geek-money.
I think it's huge problem with the (industry?).

But don't worry, once the government collapses and the grid fails, all this digital play-money will vanish into virtual thin air and we can laugh at them. Smiley

On windows I think you use 'setx', stick these at the beginning of the batch file you use to launch the miner:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

Should I edit C:\Program Files (x86)\Miner\Simple GPU Miner\sgminer ?

Currently, C:\Program Files (x86)\Miner\Simple GPU Miner\sgminer has start.bat as:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 sgminer -k darkcoin -o http://elitter.net:7903 -u Xqtkkpugx3voWqFrwrUF8op6xbwLAJo1zX -p p -o http://q30.qhor.net:7903 -u Xqtkkpugx3voWqFrwrUF8op6xbwLAJo1zX -p p -I 13 --balance

... although my wallet address is XhBQPDWwqR4opAXtsuu7fYLXGhLotgnV8J

Should I change the .bat to reflect my correct wallet address?

YES. Otherwise anyhing you mine will go to someone else's wallet!

Ok I've made the change but now when I run GPU Coin Miner the black cmd box does not appear, wtf.

MineP.it, apparently, are in the process of updating their pool !! Big round to them, thank you Dan!

 Pool Police stats update tonight.

Currently this pool has 91 GH/s !! and the biggest piece of the pie in terms of hashrate. I Think they're chinese
Usee google translator to help navigate

http://x11.ltc1btc.com/

here is the link to the contact form. (will not work under google translate thought)

http://x11.ltc1btc.com/index.php?page=contactform

Please send them a friendly notice to update! The fork is eminent, and they'll have 100% orphaned blocks. These guys are the biggest anchor right now we have! Send them this link please. Be nice about it, no need to antagonise!

http://wiki.darkcoin.eu/wiki/Important

Lets get this show on the road folk!

This is a multipool paying out BTC, LTC or CNY, so they will sell the darkcoins they mine instantly, with 90G hash rate and 30% of the blocks today.... go figure why the price is down.

Bring over some more miners to www.xpool.ca and we'll start buying it back up!

+1

I've talk with ltc1btc.com's service. I suggest them add an option for withdrawing DRK at least. But this door is closed. So forget about that site. Make our own DRK multipool stronger.

Did I put my wallet address in there one too many times? How do I fix?
