reply from MineP.it :

Hi qwizzie

Thanks for the note.

I have seen some of the posts in the DarkCoin thread about the changes required and it's on my to-do list. It looks like it's not a standard "update your client" type upgrade and I need to be able to set aside a good chunk of time to look at it properly. This is the only reason we've not updated yet.

I'll try make some time for it tomorrow at some point.

Cheers,
Dan

Even the market itself doesn't know what it's doing - 4H MACD on Mintpal wavering right on the line...

...you forgot to mention the 20,000 on request and 8,000 on supply  Wink

I think when you get a massive hike in the bid stack like that it's because people thing the price is going to fall and they all line up their bids to catch the panic dumps.

Surprised to see Minep.it not updating. He is a regular on BTCTalk

https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/minepit-298616

very graciously updated Wankcoin moments ago.

Wallet version 0.8.7 is now released.  OP has change details.  They were previously listed there as the coming changes for this version, so probably won't come as any surprise.

Please upgrade your wallet as soon as you can.  The changes will kick in at block 46750.

Nice one. Updated wallet at https://www.minep.it/pool/WKC/

Top 10 identified Pools that have absolutely no excuse at all not being at the top of their game, and follow a coin's development schedule, and a non-example of the core principles behind crypto currencies. Pure greed, some might say. Unethical and unprofessional are words others might chose.

1 - Multipool.us
2 - BlackCoin Pool - (no surprise there)
3 - Ghash.io
4 - Dedicatedpool
5 - Minep.it
6 - Hashrate.eu
7 - drk.althash.eu
8 - botpool.com
9 - mupool.com
10 - no more identified pools.

In between these guys, there's loads of unknown pools! Please contribute by finding last solved block on your pools and cross-referencing with chaeplin's list - http://drk.poolhash.org/mnode.html

And if pool_unknown please PM me pleeeease!!

Please do your part and send an email to them to update !! It IS in their best interest for FUD's sake...

FYI: I've spoken with the admin for blakcoinpool - they were going to stop mining darkcoin to avoid the appearance of impropriety while I get them the info they need.  I don't think they were acting out of malice, just misunderstanding.

Good to hear !! I'll be monitoring

What is required to ensure DarkCoin can sit next to Bitcoin on merchant and payment processor tools as a fallback option, especially in the event that privacy groups start to raise the issues over the lack of privacy that bitcoin offers?

trust.. and lots of it

Technical issues only.

Trust is a human interference. Trust will come if the technical issues are not a barrier.

This is something that should be done more.. first find out
1) what it takes, and
2) how it can be done, and then
3) make it happen

Nothing, except the concept of fungibility, which makes it AWESOME for near instant micro-payments, and a blessing for large capital.
And why LTC will go down, and if DRK gains enough momentum, it very well can be a candidate to pinch BTC itself.

Thanks for the link... There are two options: or the article shows how clueless these people are, or how mendacious they are... in any circustances: they are scared Wink

Take some time to read the PDF (will be more useful). Maybe the reporter' point of view is not the best, but the PDF document has some interesting topics. Excellent reference to evaluate the potential risks of any coin, including Bitcoin and darkcoin.

Thank you, I'll have a read.

I observed that a lot pools that don't pay MNs seems to be multipools that periodical jump in when the diff is low and out when it's higher again.

An easy weapon is to start your miner again and mining darkcoins. If the coin is not rentable to mine anymore due to basic high diff those pools will stay out.

At the moment the coin is rather interesting to mine again. My miners are fully back on it since yesterday.
And as a side effect it will help to rise the price again.
