I would use DRK only for pump and dump. :d

Quick note: I'm not speculating on when exactly Bitfinex finally goes public with DRK exchange, however with the way these things work out, I would expect a sharp spike up followed by an almost immediate sharp drop ("buy the rumor, sell the news") initially and probably a dull decline lower over the following days along with ridiculous FUD here as many traders initiate shorts.
Eventually after a couple days I'd expect stabilization though and eventual long-term price increasing as the longer-term traders realize the valuable utility that DRK brings. Of course, this is assuming the MN's payments work without forks.

I hope you people talking up this bitfinex stuff realise that this now HAS to happen otherwise we'll have a crash on our hands.

This development has now been getting slowly priced in over the last 24-48 hours, in particular regarding the fact that a correction was due yesterday that didn't occur - the price went up instead.

That's the price of jumping on these kind of rumours.

The rumour will be bought and the news will be sold. When bitfinex come out and state that periodically run viability tests on their new API functions using a variety of tickers but currently no plans to add any alts then that's going to no be seen as negative news and trigger a good old dump.

Just saying'. Watch what you talk up.

Have you got some books to learn crypto-trading?
I'm sick of reading thoses advices that seems pretty steady afterwards, and place my trades only with a look at the direction of the wind...
So if there is som "crypto-trading 101", I'll be pleased to buy it.

I know shit about technical analysis, but this link has been shared in this thread a few times for that:

Thanks, i'll look at it.

I'm searching for the basis, how to build a strategy, and how to enter the market without total gambling.

And of course how to avoid the biggest basic mistakes.

And this is why you don't dump Darkcoin in a panic kids. That monster dump of 15k @ .00098 last week... that guy must be feeling pretty sorry today.

haha so true.

What is worse is that he may have bought a lot of the other coin.

Can I short DarkCoin yet? I am looking at bitfinex but it looks like you can only short bitcoin and litecoin.

Not saying I absolutely am wanting to short this juggernaut, but it would be interesting to know I had the ability.

Thanks in advance.
You can't short it yet on any exchange. You could add a bet to a prediction market site and bet on it going down, or you could come to some arrangement with a forum member using escrow, or you could just wait till Bitfinex adds it.

I don't recommend shorting it right now, however.

Well, actually, the joke might be on you  Wink

That could have been a very experienced day trader who's been trading in and out of DRK since it started moving significantly a month ago. They might have been making money on every rise and every fall.

You're just looking at a single trade. You can't tell if that was simply a profit take from a longer term trading strategy or not. Not everybody is a long term investor.

To day trader whales, markets like this are just a way to accumulate more Bitcoin. They don't care what the price of the day is as long as it's moving. Also, they don't worry about getting "left behind" because they're in and out of this coin the whole time. Whenever you see a big buy or a big sell there's probably a 75% chance that that money has been going in and out of the market about 50 times.
