I can't find the exact post, but I remembering Evan saying there would be a limit of 5.
I think he hasn't committed to any number yet.

Something tells me, quite soon, we'll be looking back at 6-8 DRK per day as "the glory days"...
My single 7850 gave me 2 DRK a day 2 months ago.
That were some glory weeks
3 months ago my i5 gave me 50 DRK per day
I hardly believe that. Forgot it was already june. At the beginning of march 1 MH/s was averaging 1,3 DRK/day

Multi-ticketed nodes do nothing good for the security / decentralization of the coin, quite contrary. It's just there to make whales earn money even easier.
Actually one good thing is that bigger payout to multi-ticketed node allows the node to be hosted on a higher priced quality server. No idea how many would do so though. But simply having someone pay $10 a month or w/e for vps and run single node with 150 tickets that does the same amount of work than a node with 1 ticket just doesn't seem good.

I think most likely, it will top out at around 1000 MNs is my guess.
I'm guessing around 300 max, because those that would've had tens or even 100+ of nodes with the old 1000DRK=1MN system will now just have 1.
That said, could someone please tell me why the multi-ticket masternodes was a good idea again?
Multi-ticketed nodes do nothing good for the security / decentralization of the coin, quite contrary. It's just there to make whales earn money even easier.

It is easier to update and secure one big MNs than 20 smaller ones. As long as the total number doesn't go down a lot it doesn't affect decentralization that much. Anyway, afaik, it has been pushed back to RC4. This should happen in July, so there is a lot of time for this to change.
