That word doesn't mean what you think it means
When the poster learns how it works, he's going to realize what a fool he made of himself...

It's fun to watch the pain teacher at work... Thanks for posting this.
So this double spend is not a problem? Not coins were created out of the blue?
You, too, shall learn... Embrace the pain of learning everything that hard way...
Sorry, I admit that I'm a real noob. Your reply is scary though
Don't make me bust out a link to Let Me Google That For You... Understanding is less than 30 seconds away, and you're letting it go unfound... Even BitCoin had a hard fork not that long ago...

I already posted a reply with a noob-level explanation of hard fork... See what good it did...
Please stop.  He's asking a question, there's no reason to do that.  It's not good for the community.

Nothing to worry about bro, here you go http://wiki.darkcoin.eu/wiki/FAQ#I_read_something_about_a_hard_fork._What_is_that.3F

Start there, but read the whole FAQ, all your doubts cleared.

Well english is not my native language, and a lot of this uses very specific terms.. Sorry I thought I could enjoy people's knowledge on a forum dedicated to dark, but I understand you're tired of everyone asking "basic" stuff all day every day.

I just remember reading somewhere that a double spend could mean the loss of trust in the whole system or something similar, so I was wondering

To the Darkcoin community:
We are working in a multidisciplinary project involving Bitcoin and Darkcoin.
We will publish the website and features before the official Darkcoin release next month.

I'm confident that this project will power-up both crypto-currencies in important key sectors.
We decide to include Darkcoin to increase and complement the features and capabilities of our development.

Even better times are coming for the crypto-currency world.

We'll wait to have more information.... All that touch DRK is interesting...

Here's a hint, only one is real... The receiver with the bogus chain is going to get a surprise. It's not a double spend. It's punishment for being stupid. SHOW ME THE STACK DEPTH!

Hi, I own 1000dark and I was wondering if there is a way to estimate my average payout each week/ month/ year.

Might be a tough question, I don't really know ^^

at current rate you get 1 darkcoin per day

http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.html

Thanks! Still wondering if it's worth the hassle of finding a cloud system and setting it all up( i'm a COMPLETE noob), given that many, many more nodes will appear I suppose

If we are not above Litecoin by June 14th, I'm putting on a SmurfCoin outfit and going out to my local pub. Please world, don't be cruel, my local has some really fit birds.

 Grin

Would be good if the dev can give an update now on what's upcoming

Old schedule...

- RC2 (magic numbers changed to darkcoin, DGW3) : May 14th
- RC2 (masternode payments) : May 25th
- RC3 (10 DRK limit and denominated change) : June 14th
- After this, I'll find someone to vet the code and open source.
- RC4 (Bugs, security issues)
- Testing, then opensource

The masternode issues and the 3rd fork for the 25th actually messed up the schedule. I've been rewriting much of the code masternode technology (released yesterday, if you haven't updated please do!)

There's still some oddities with the election voting system that I'm going to tackle this next week. This I'll start working again on RC3 .

My view on where we are at the moment, plus above

debug log gets recycled.. no need to worry about the size.. you can also delete the debug.log file yourself without any problems

Of course I can, but damn, why is it so huge? I've only got 30G on that VM... It's several orders of magnitude larger than the debug.log being created by the -qt binary of the same version number...
