FYI: I also coined the phrase Darkcoins are the Swiss Francs of the crypto world.

Hey man, question, whats the best way to cash out $10,000+ of btc in Australia? It'd get noticed and asked to pay tax on it right?

You must pay tax on all gains. But if like most people, you bought from November 2013, you're probably in a loss position.

I bought bitcoin in 2010, I had 900 of them
buuut
I sold them in 2011 Sad

Now I just need to pay some debt with 1/5 of my dark profit, then I can hold the rest

The BBC stuff was pretty good, nice to see someone that actually knows what he talks about and did his research.

Indeed... he even mentioned there is a hard fork ahead. No excuses "I didn't hear there was a hard fork"... It was announced on fuckin' bbc Grin

UPDATE YOUR WALLETS

I don't think my jaw has left the floor for 24 hours. I must have been dragging it around all afternoon yesterday, mouth breathing during the night and still it won't shut....

Not only do Sky News repackage the wired article, but I'm getting reminders of the fork on the BBC!!! WTF!!

Anyone who does not live in the UK, believe me, this is insane!

DASH is the future of crypto payments!
I still cannot understand how those big sellwalls gets raped so quickly, like the 27 wall. I would expect that the seller would pull back his order, but no.....it gets instantly eaten Cheesy
Like I said earlier, all I see is whale blubber.
I think you mistake the intentions of some of them (the smart ones) - we're clearly being shepherded up. When profits are taken though, I think our market cap and momentum will carry us and there will be no big fall, just a brief dip then business as usual again.
I honestly don't know what everyone is talking about.  I held this baby since $1 and haven't seen a chart, sell wall or anything. I refuse to look at anything until Darkcoin's marketcap > litecoin's.

I cannot believe that Darkcoin is worth less than Litecoin, at a very fundamental level.
Don't get me wrong, I hold a lot and have no intention of selling anytime soon, but looking at the market activity I believe that much bigger holders than I are also in this for the long term, and are acting to make themselves steadily richer. Much richer. Currently I'm not complaining...  Grin

LOL. I love how these guys on blogs never run disclaimers about their coin portfolio. Obvious up-ramping for Litecoin.

I'm in Aus too. The ATO haven't ruled on digital currencies yet but they promise to release guidance before June 30. They'll probably treat them like foreign exchange gains, which is subject to capital gains tax at your marginal income tax rate.

If they do, I wouldn't suggest trying to hide it - the ATO seem to be targeting tax avoidance harder these days.

Ok thanks, looks like I'll find a cash buyer then.
Saw a BTC ATM in Sydney today, they seem to be popping up more.

No, actually it's not.  Because I hit a couple of those large walls and haven't sold any DRK in a long time.

It is one guy putting the walls and they using their other acc on the exchange to sell/buy from themselves. It makes it looks like there is incredible buying support when in fact it is the same guy trading with himself.

EDIT: but best to speak to an accountant about this! I'll certainly be talking to mine  Smiley

Coinjar or Local Bitcoins. IIRC the ATO is to soon release it's ruling on taxing Bitcoin, as far as I'm aware there wouldn't be any tax to pay on it yet.

From a while back…  Cool

Dont you think there's a risk of raising fears simply by pointing that out? Why even mention it? It might appear defensive if we emphasize how we dont condone a, b or c?

Darkcoin is more like electronic cash than Bitcoin - thats it.

If people could stop banging on about using it for dodgy activities that would be a start. Just shup up about your drugs - nobody cares what you do with your money. Thats the point.

Ok, that might be true.

Just frightening to think about  selling and buying humans, organs, drugs etc. with Darkcoin on the internet, not to mention all the scams that will be easily pulled off with Darkcoin.

Humans are scary. Old story.
Darkcoin is cash. What you do wit your cash is up to you.

The name DarkCoin already implies where it may be used best imo

That's entirely subjective. Darkness hides things and some things are not for the seeing.

Anonymity and darkness share this quality.

Some people are in fear of anonymity. To them it means lawlessness,  lack of accountability and anarchy. These people are ants.

We are grasshoppers.

Your best bet would be to find someone local who could give you cash. Otherwise, yeah, you'd have to pay tax.

i'm new user but you are god :|

My question is why are you in all of your posts here, you just want people to hesitate?

You're smart, you're experienced you are understood, you are God.

Why anyone would want All about Dark hesitant to give you money? Where to get supplies to the devastated Dark Mykhahy effects of debt.

If someone likes it Dark where you are unsure do not like and this is your problem

Turn off your system and come back to his village barn objectively
