FUD removed

Which the instaminers haven't profited from. It's all distributed. And more so every day.

The dev is on this full time. And it's bringing more to crypto than any other coin. Buy, hold and win.

what this has worth of money?
masternode hype? i allready cashed out!

anon?? i have no name on my btc wallet!
this playing with master nodes will kill the coin eventually.

That's it? You dumped and now you want to spread FUD because you don't want to feel bloody stupid once it goes up again and again and again ... ?   LOL

Darkcoin's Douchey Dozen troll list

Gminerz
AC2
Pandher (under review)
Nzminer
IloveAnonCoin
Ymer
Cryptohunter
JGCMiner.troll

Please add

JGCMiner is obviously a troll.

Also, +1 on listing this is the first post.  Newbies should know the names of the blatant FUD'ers.

Sorry if i come across as a troll, I do hold DRK.
What annoys me is reading here all the posts about it getting to $300 or even $1000 like some are saying, I think it has the potential to reach $100 possibly, but i have a realistic approach.
Im not trying to spread FUD, but i feel its wrong to give newbies false hopes and have people dig deep into their pockets into such a risky investment, which goes for all cryptos, and DRK is still dropping, which i was expecting, so what if it goes back to $2? It still has the potential to get up to $100 if it is indeed a solid coin.

I intend to invest in more DRK, as well as NXT, MEC and other coins, its wise to not keep all your eggs in one basket and anyone with their head screwed on should agree.
But im not going to panic buy DRK like what is happening at the moment.

And yes, the "instamine" is a concern to me and it would be appreciated if i can get an explanation why the windows QT wallet was not released on launch. Again i still think this coin is a strong contender in the market for the short to mid term and it will easily topple litecoin sometime this year, but people like me need solid faith in this coin. Its silly to invest in something just because its going up in value.

We're doing good, bait is out, stay strong Smiley

We should contact ATM makers to allow transactions with drk too, I can't imagine this would add much to the cost and would grow adoption big time.
Promise this isnt FUD: I know from BTC ATMs that many of them are KYC compliant; would Darksend be something that would prohibit KYC laws? i love the anonymity of this coin; in fact at BC we've been discussing if we could implement something similar(not copy yall). but would it have legal/regulatory implications, more specifically with widespread/mass daily use?

KYC primarily kicks in with fiat/crypto conversions.

EDIT: so transmission method of the crypto (i.e. darksend) has nothing to do with KYC only the fact that "real" money is involved

If the KYC check could come elsewhere so buy a voucher from somewhere for example. These atms would work a LOT better.
so wouldnt it be better to do Point of sale terminals instead of ATMs? when people hear ATM, they automatically think of putting cash in/taking out cash in a machine. it may sound trivial, but semantics are incredibly important.specifics determine how the public adopts it.

Absolutely. Point of Sale terminals are the way forward. Cryptos need to be as seamless as contactless card payments.
good! now roll with that! ATM no, PoSale YES

Looks like btc-e is paying a bigger price than expected for all that lost volume.

Network effects are damn important. Any exchange not wanting to permanently fall down the list needs to get DRK supported fast...

I remember when some exchange came knocking for money, or something, so that we should add DRK and the reaction / sentiment was like "ok, fuck off, your loss". That was back in Feb or March if I remember correctly.

We had already seen that DRK was dominating ccex volume (something like 85-90% of the entire exchange) and it was very evident -at least to me- that whoever did not have DRK will lose out loads of volume.

PLEASE NOTE!!

It might be just my paranoia, but recently Tante thought her account might have been hacked...... shortly after someone offered to tip her / suggested putting her address up for tips. Coincidence? Hopefully, but please hold off for the time being till this gets resolved.

Good eye!

Question:
coins that used these algos before dark?
hint: 5 algo coin, 6 algo coin?

The article isn't talking about those algos individually, it's talking about X11.  Try again.

there will be x21, its way better

Pre-sale - March 18
Sorry everyone for the delay in responding.  I really do like this pamphlet / display.  we will be accepting Darkcoin... before we even accept Bitcoin... just cause we can!   I'll have a look at any other submissions and make a decision in the morning.   I would like to post this on our Facebook page as well as Twitter. Any graphics should keep this in mind.   I'll post up the wining payment advert on our cover page for Facebook and our wine club news letter this coming month.

it would be nice if a business instead of get paid in bitcoins, litecoins, darkcoins just accepts all crypto but auto converts to DRK, with auto Darksend, when the purchase is realized. This will be a cool automated process to obscure the transaction + building buy pressure/adding value to DRK. Just a thought.

I was thinking the same thing  when I saw the wine retailer above in this thread.

Also

Decentralized math based currencies need a decentralized math based exchange to match. Counterparty and Ripple are perhaps going in that vague direction of concept, there may be others. But right now nothing is there. Whoever makes the first decentralized exchange will be remembered for all of time, like Satoshi Cheesy. Right now there is too much risk to the network as we've already seen with centralized exchanges such as Mt Gox.

I have a super cool idea for an exchange but I can't do security for a pennies worth Sad

I mean, by your logic Apple didn't invent the macbook I'm typing on, because the hard drive and RAM and CPU already existed.

Try again.

The Coindesk article really pissed me off.

post the article plz

http://www.coindesk.com/advanced-algorithms-maxcoin-dogecar/

So praising x11 without mention of evan who is pretty easy to contact instead getting information from a pool. Bad journalism and rather strange.

Really strange.  Even the name "x11" was an invention of Evan combining Xcoin (DRK original name) and the fact it has 11 algos.

Though, as somebody mentioned earlier, if the coin continues to grow, adds more anon features, and price continues to rise -- then other bigger and more reputable news outlets will feature DRK.  It is just a matter of time.

evan did not create this hash algo, only collected 11 of them 5+6
copy 11 algos and call them x11, there was 12-13x algos out there..

Why you don't think of it before him ? too stupid ?
