No, its not. Shifting BTC to DRK doesn't have any effect on the BTC rate.
Except there were a lot of fiat buyers for BTC and supply would narrow on that end.

In fact any DRK fanatics willing to point an amateur trader to the best place to learn quasi-profitable trading. Which MACD time do you guys look at?
trade a different coin, it's easier! I'm glad I made my mistake a few weeks ago, it only cost me 80 bucks to get back to where I was. Today, omg, don't want to think about it!
Its a very short trend and too few participants, moving way too fast.
And volume looks great, but its still peanuts in real terms.

I'm having a problem with the wallet (0.10.7.4).
I have downloaded it twice today and after starting both times it didn't connect to the network. I replaced the peers.dat file with one from a thread on darkcointalk.org and I connected and synced both times.
Now I have a different issue (could be related) in that I can't open the wallet. Both times after having the wallet closed for a period of time upon reopening (from the task bar) I get the message "The item 'Darkcoin-qt.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly."
Any idea why this keeps happening?

Yes, but I think they mix darks and confuse darkwallet with darksend near the end.
