Hmmm... I'm mining on xhash since last night but the last block was found only 14 hours ago... they used to crack 1 or 2 blocks an hour... Is anything wrong? :-l

They did not update wallet.

They sit on a wrong blockchain.

Current Difficulty   96.39991956
Est. Next Difficulty   553.25268017 (Change in 1 Blocks)
Next Network Block   68619    (Current: 68618)

Real ?

*************** THE REAL REASON WHY DARKWALLET IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR DRK ************

Darkwallet is only an option for when YOU make a payment to someone else.

You've got no control over what others use to send payments to YOU. It is the latter that is far more critical because in finance, people are far more private about their INCOME than their EXPENSES. There are lots of reasons for that other than just tax evasion:

 - people set up a payment address for donations and don't want the donating addresses revealed
 - retail product vendors who don't want the blockchain addresses of their customers made public
 - people who delegate their money management to others and want to make sure they don't use a transparent wallet for consolidating their accounts

Dark wallet is useless in all of these circumstances because it relies on the SENDER making sure they use an opaque wallet.

So once again:

Dark wallet is no use for INCOME (the thing we want to protect). It's only any use for EXPENDITURE and then only when YOU spend it.

Dumping supply is diminishing fast as traders lose their coins to higher price levels. Fast swings from 0.0095 to 0.0115 seem too easy due to low* selling volume.

* when contrasted to the buying volume.

+1 internets for you sir

I just found this on an old thread from Jan 2012. The BTC price was around $6 then. Interesting to consider for all those people who says Darkcoin can't go any higher...

the global money supply is estimated at some USD 70 trillion. Let's assume 60 trillion for the sake of argument. This money changes hands daily to support the world economy.

1.
6 billion people in the world. Average of USD 10,000 for each person in the world. Compared with the maximum of BTC = average of 0,0035 BTC for each person in the word  Shocked

2.
If only 0.001% of all trade in the world would be done via BTC, that would replace the function of USD 600,000,000 of currency (approx USD28/BTC). Imagine if that portion would be 1%.

3.
Imagine that 6 billion people on earth all have 1 BTC in average to let their whole economy function (USD2,857,142/BTC).

4.
There is a high probability that the spreading of BTC will follow the classic rules of adoption of new ideas (provided it overcomes the current technical hurdles). On average, if 13% uses BTC, the rest will follow without a doubt.

Background:

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/07/110725190044.htm (we just need to believe in BTC's success hard enough)

5.
Hence, it's always hoarding time....  Grin

I see you were in BTC in the early days, Koolio. How much did you have, if you don't mind me asking?

tbh dark seems like a good coin, stands out with real use. Id imagine that if it doesnt get dumped on any exchange would be silly not to have it. it compliments btc well

In before you change your signature

right after I said it, haha  Grin

i would remove LTC totaly after seeing what drk is capable of Smiley

Trading DRK for profit is a big gamble now. I would hold on to as much DRK as you can.
As soon as more people realize that LTC has nothing on DRK there's only one direction to go.
With hundreds of alt coin out there, there are only a rare few that have some exceptional features.
These features combined with a fair spreading of stake and not being randomly cloned makes them worth wile.
DarkCoin together withe a few others (like eXo big time and maybe Monero a little) are here to stay imo.

Yes it is a risk but I just took it and sold half of what I had. My last buys were at .003 so... This coin is here to stay but I'll be looking for a correction to increase my share, if not then I still have enough to come out on top.
