Looking at this data, we see that Darkcoin was mined with 500 DRK generated per block from the get go. From block 1 to at least block 3250, according to their blockchain, they were still producing 500 coins each block. The transition from 500 to 277 coins per block occurs between 3250 and 3500 but this author did not see the necessity of getting the exact moment of halving. Simple math shows that 3250 blocks multiplied by 500 coins a block is 1,625,000 Darkcoins created between the times of 3:54 and 11:22 on January 19th, 2014. As of today there are around 4,300,000 DRK in existence, making this a pretty hefty instamine. The Darkcoin website expects around 22,000,000 DRK to be created. That means in less than 8 hours, almost 5% of the Darkcoins that ever will be created spawned in that 1/3 of a day.

I think it would be good if now a little correction would take place so that its not such a huge pump because than i fear that a huge dump will follow. We should avoid to have evolving this kind of pattern. So far it was one of the outstanding charakteristics of DRK to grow slowly but mostly stable over time. I hope that we will return to this soon. It is much better for your nerves and ist is much better for the coin cause the recovery from a real big dump takes very very long. Cause the people who was burned and are sitting on big losses sell on any little recovery so that the prrice can not rise for as long time. I even whould suggest to think about to postpone the release of the payment for the masternode even later than the 25th cause this will probably initiate the next hype. I think we need to avoid this scheme.
Special coins do such a quick rise towards its true vallue, then go waay passed it over the pump then go down on a dump. Litecoin went up really fast from 1 to 10 dollar.. So did bitcion.

Paying in bitcoin means the merchant instantanily knows how much you have, you earn, and what you bought until then. He will know everything on you, your kids, your wife.
I am sure payment software in points of sale will be linked with marketing database and alerts will be shown on screen like "Propose the customer to buy condoms because he paid for a HIV test last week. Smaller ones this time to reduce risks". Not the best example, but defintively forget privacy with bitcoin.
From my point of view, Bitcoin is now useful ONLY for expenses you need to be public or prove rights : contracts, assets...

I find this ltc markets totally useless. Nobody even specualtes there and exchanges only look messy if it has million btc markets, million ltc markets etc. it only makes sence when price drops under one satoshim which is not point here
I would like to see dark on btc-e way better than seeing ltc/dark market anywhere. It would be then huge pump.. place where you can buy dark for your usds or euros..
Oh btc-e would be way more useful. But a drk/ltc market provides a direct route out for ltc holders.

BTC-E are dumb idiots who don't give a shit about profit I Think. They prefer to keep coins like Featercoin/Novacoin on their site instead of adding better alt coins..
BTW this isnt a crash.. This is called swings for day trading. I am happy at every peak it goes down a bit. Because that way you dont get a hugeeeee spike on the chart like Blackcoin
I would say they love anonymity, and they would run hundreds of masternodes.
For an anonymous exchange like BTC-E, DRK is the perfect money to have.
