A légpárnás hajóm tele van angolnákkal.
Yes, the older coin design is prettier, but the proposed new one would fit with the website 1000% better and would look way more professional.  Other sites can use the old color, and perhaps other pages - maybe the old one is best for press releases. But I like the current official page colors, and this proposed update to the coin.  Thanks raze, it's been bothering me too!

It's just something I threw together as an example of the direction I think the coin's color scheme should be going to bring it in line with the rest of the branding. It's the same design, just different colors. If someone can come up with something better (maybe Enzwell?), I'm all for it. The coin's design is fine, but the color is off, IMO.

EDIT: Any thoughts on using the "D" instead of the coin on places like coinmarketcap?

Guys, I don't get it.

What's the point of bitcoin if there's darkcoin?
I suspect more and more people will be asking this very question over time.

Guys, I don't get it.

What's the point of bitcoin if there's darkcoin?

You could say that about any coin that appeared post BTC.

Most of them have some kind of technological advance over Bitcoin.

The difference with Darkcoin is that it offers something new directly to the customer. All other alts basically work the same at the point of use - the technology differences are 'under the bonnet'.

Darkcoin actually offers a different property that directly affects its commercial viability - an opaque blockchain. What commercial entity operating in a competitive environment wants their bank statements publicly accessible to the whole wide world ?

I said "whats the point of bitcoin if there is darkcoin"

NOT "whats the point of darkcoin if there is bitcoin"

40 BTC sellwall appeared.

If that gets eaten...

The interesting thing is that buy orders keep popping up and they are sold into. Probably close to 100 BTC have been sold in the last 1-2 hours. Yet the price is remarkably stable...

Edit: I bet the whales read that my BTC deposit is stuck and they're keeping the price low for me. Thanks whales!

Yeah, cryptsy also has some smaller sellwall at around the same price, someone doesn't want the price to go up.

nope, waited all through the night and still doesnt show up in the remote server list, only in the local QT wallet. Doesn't it need to show up in the remote server list to be valid? or is the local QT wallet good enough?

my elastic IP for the remote server is 54.186.164.9 if it helps

I don't see your IP in the list.  Sad

Did you start the masternode on your local QT too ?

Yeah, i started darkcoind on remote server,
then started QT wallet locally with 'darkcoin-qt -masternodeaddr=54.186.164.9:9999
then unlocked wallet
then enter masternode start, says "successfully started masternode
then enter masternode list and shows my IP at the bottom of the list
but IP never shows in masternode list on remote server

Are you sure that you have to specify the port ? Try without it.

i think it's needed because without the port, it says "not capable masternode" when i try to start it

Did you give it a half an hour?  The local node where you started the masternode may know before everyone else, but it sometimes takes up to 30 minutes to show up (time between pings)

Also make sure you have your ip address in your remote config file:

# change change_this_to_your_ec2_public_ip_ami_public_ip to public ip address which you connected by ssh
 externalip=change_this_to_your_ec2_public_ip_ami_public_ip

yes i waited overnight and still didn't show up in the morning...and the elastic IP is on the .conf file on the remote server

also i noticed when i close my QT wallet locally, the masternode is not longer listed in the local QT wallet when i relaunch.

The Future Of Work
Only thing that saddens me is I didn't buy more, esp when it dipped to .0025 for a bit recently.

Well, looks like you're all on your own there.
Everybody else here got all the DRKs they wanted with absolutely no regrets at all. In fact I feel like I got too many.

Isn't that the truth.

I, for one, have yet to make my first trading mistake.

Raspberries to you!!  Tongue  LOL

I made, for me, a very costly mistake, which taught me a harsh lesson!  And to bring myself back up to my previous coins, I had to buy WAY higher (waiting on cash to arrive, etc...)  For other people, it's not that much money (about $100 lost) but heck, it hurt me enough for me never to screw around like that again, LOL.  We have no discretionary funds.  So watch it, or I'll spank you!!!  It's mother's dat and that's what we do to snotty kids!!!   Cheesy Cheesy Grin Cheesy Cheesy Wink
