We are working to make the following wallets and would like to know if there is interest in buying these.
We see others are selling them for anywhere between $5 and $12. I'm thinking about $3 - $5. The back of the card where the grey area is, is the scratch off where the private key and QR code would be.

Pecvniate obedivnt omnia.
I know this is not related to Darkcoin, but it is very important. This petition is for Avaaz, which is a very large and popular grass-roots activist/petition site.
If they accept Bitcoin it will be very important for all cryptocurrencies going forward. You can all start your own petition for Darkcoin as well.

Now is your chance to sing the petition:

Good man! Smiley

This is the screenshot from my Blogger stats on google searches. I have gotten 1k + impression on the "darkcoin" in the past few days. Looks like there is a lot of interest in Darkcoin. I am not even ranking on the first page. I can only imagine how many impressions the other sites are getting.

I wrote this article a while back. I will prob have to write a new one with all the recent updates that have happened.

Would appreciate a few re-tweets and google +.

"ASICs strengthen the network," my tight muscular buttocks. Bloody carrier pigeons and smoke signals would be quicker then BTC and LTC.

Asics do nothing for network speed or security. If anything they hurt security by reducing the number of miners and concentrating hashing power into the hands of a few.

Well, but I think you can arguably say that the difficulty has gotten so that the rewards are too small to attract miners.  Yet the asics bring miners back.  Of course, it just starts another round of difficulty rising, but... I dunno, it's an argument anyway, LOL

Asics bring mining companies not miners Smiley

EDIT: Sorry this sounds unnecessarily smartass.
I think there is an advantage to a coin being slightly unprofitable to mine. You mine it if you believe in it. Or don't want to/can't buy it. But you don't mine it to dump to BTC.

On a side note.. is it possible to make a coin p2pool only? That way all miners support the network.

Hey guys

I have 200 darkcoins and a shitload of blackcoins, I am thinking about buying 1800 more darkcoins and setting up 2 masternodes

The problem is I have no idea what it is, how to do it, or how much dark i can get a day from them

If someone can hyelp me out with this I will dump 20k blackcoins RIGHT NOW for darkcoins =)
I've asked this same question already but nobody seemed to bother answering. How does one create a masternode?
I realize that one needs to have 1000 DRK.

Here guys, I will help. First read the official masternode requirements from the developer:

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/darkcoin-update-masternode-requirements-masternode-payments.225/

After reading that, you can see that there are many setups you can use, here is a guide on how to do it with Amazon by a prominent member of our community chaeplin:

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/how-to-set-up-ec2-t1-micro-ubuntu-for-masternode-part-1-3.240/

I am not a high level IT person but I have someone working on some masternodes for me using Chaeplins guide. Please let me know if this helps

I also want to run a masternode.  I have ~600 DRK right now and willing to buy the other 400 I need but I don't even have a PC at home!  I work in IT so I am fairly confident I could handle it but don't know if I want to go pick up a machine right now!?

Use an amazon ec2 tiny.  Seriously.  Free, except extra internet traffic that you have to pay minimum for, for a year, unless you used up your "voucher". (no voucher, just once per account)

You can do it on an amazon server. - see Chaeplin's guide

My mind is full blown at people selling for 5btcs worth.

You could have masternodes making you 3-4btcs worth PER MONTH in the near future.

Jimmies are rustled fellas. Hold me

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/darkcoin-update-masternode-requirements-masternode-payments.225/

'How to create a masternode?

- Get a machine with a static ip
- Setup some ddos protection
- Setup firewall rules to block any ports that are not needed
- Open port 9999
- Download the beta daemon of darkcoin
- Use ./darkcoind getaccountaddress 0 to get an address on that daemon
- Send EXACTLY 1000DRK to that daemon
- Encrypt the wallet with a strong password, make a backup of the wallet, do not copy the wallet while the daemon is running
- In the darkcoin.conf add "connect=23.23.186.131" and "masternode=1"
- Restart the daemon
- In the logs you should see this if successful:

2014-04-07 18:37:18 IS DARKSEND MASTER NODE
2014-04-07 18:37:22 AddLocal(23.23.186.131:19999,4)
2014-04-07 18:37:22 RegisterAsMasterNode
2014-04-07 18:37:22 Found unspent output equal to nValue
2014-04-07 18:37:22 Is capable master node!

i made x150 with blackcoin, nevertheless i say bc is shit to be honest. apart from the multipoool innovation there wasnt any innovation at all.

i dont wanna start a kiddy-coin-fight here, but the hype arounf blackcoin was hillarious, imo.
