The Future Of Work
Silly me, I went to n00bnoxious' paper wallet, and made a couple of test wallets, I sent some small amounts into them then I quickly realized I wouldn't be able to retrieve the coin!

Is there a way to create a wallet with the password created with the paper wallet?  I didn't realize it wasn't functional!  Ugh, LOL.  Too bad, 'cause I'd love to put the little I have into cold storage, but only if I can get it out again!

https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com/wallet-tutorial-add-withdraw-funds/

By importing pvrivate key to wallet.

Thank you for answering, but isn't that for bitcoin?  I made a darkcoin paper wallet, from n00bnoxious' fork Smiley

You can do it from darkcoin-qt wallet.
If importprivkey is not in menu, you can use debug window.

importprivkey [label] [rescan=true]

Awesome, I assume I need a fresh wallet for that?  Thanks!

I should add Darkcoin logo.

Good idea.... Did we ever decide which one is the official logo?

OK, I'm many beers in, but I think I've tweaked the stock P2Pool website to be a bit more fun Smiley

It might be a bit dark.... Anyway, let me know what you think

http://darkcoin.kicks-ass.net:7903/static   <-- I probably need to alias that better

If you make a design, I will use it for p2pool-drk repo.

You can use just http://darkcoin.kicks-ass.net:7903

Oh, after reload, I can see dark.

once a week 50% of the fees, will be drawn,
to one lucky winner... is it your turn next?[/center]

Hi CHAOSiTEC,

Could you pls explain how the draw is made and the winner chosen? Do all workers have the same chance regardless of hashrates?
Also, what is the minimum amount of mining time required to be eligible for the draw?

Cheers

Each user, not miner, gets 1 lottery ticket per day mining, after mining for 1 week, you would have 7 tickets.

each time, i generate a list with the usernames listed x number of times ( = number of lottery tickets) then i use random.org's list randomizer,
and random.org's integer generator, to select the winner :-)

Quick p2p pool question.  How is it this (http://imgur.com/kQWUMCI) miner at 2.5ish Mhps all day is getting a 2.5 drk reward all day but the 13.5 Mhps miner is getting .4 drk?

P2Pool pays out on a PPLNS system. Although the 2.5 miner is currently at 2.5, he may have been mining at a much faster rate for the last 24-48 hours and has built up that sort of reward. It's hard to tell from just a snapshot... Try going to the graphs to see what the hashrate was over the last 24 hours.

Others may be able to explain this better, but that is my understanding of the reward system.

Yea So I did look at graphs because this payout has been so persistent and its confusing.  You can see anytime here http://205.186.154.88:7903/static/  It doesn't make sense to me because even in graphs their isn't a high hash.  That 2.x DRK is some magic golden mining with 2.5 MH/s

Yeah, that is weird.... Chaeplin knows alot more about the inner workings of P2Pool than I do, so he might be able to better explain it.

He has over 100M.

If he has private p2pool node(web front port 7903 changed or blocked), we can't tell his hashrate.

His share is accepted by other nodes.
http://asia01.mine.nu:7903/static/classic/

I can see a block found by him(quick search)
http://asia02.mine.nu:7903/static/classic/share.html#00000000005c71e0bc37cacc2e4c98d13d9475c32026dc878cbf75bdec7a174c

He is owner of http://205.186.154.88:7903/payout_addr
fee is 0.2 % http://205.186.154.88:7903/fee

Invalid address mining at cryptohasher p2pool  http://cryptohasher.net:7903/static/

Code:
Xm4sVvgCf7ENSyT4FJcLeo2oJpcwFaBAYwinvalid_address_0

He use Xm4sVvgCf7ENSyT4FJcLeo2oJpcwFaBAYw.0 as his wallet address.

P2pool-drk has javascript  replace.
https://github.com/chaeplin/p2pool-drk/blob/master/web-static/index.html#L247
        address= address.replace(/[\W\s]+/g,"invalid_address_");

\W    A non-word character (same as [^_a-zA-Z0-9])

I just join http://darkcoin.kicks-ass.net:7903/static/. how come I don't have anything yet? :/

You will start getting coins as soon as the pool hits a block. The last two blocks were about an hour ago, so we should be due... But there is no telling. As soon as a block is found anywhere in the P2Pool, all the nodes get paid based on shares. Also, you generally maximize your rewards by consistently mining. After 24-48 hours you hit your "reward plateau".

There is a chart showing latest blocks at the bottom of

http://darkcoin.kicks-ass.net:7903/static

You can also see your number of shares, etc.

EDIT: And we just got a block. You must be good luck!

Subscribe if you haven't already - we should try to move some of this conversation over there, it's way quieter than it should be.
That's because many of us refuse to move there with the current color scheme.

lol if it's really that big of a deal there is a checkbox on the right side to turn off the custom page style.
