It's messed up. How many of you ride the waves? Does it work out for you for the most part? or no?
I'm just curious. It's painful to watch in many ways.
(Though I do believe in the long term this is good for DRK because ppl will lose faith with the crapcoins and move to something of substance - coinmarketcap.com is gross right now to look at.)
"Riding the waves" is probably one of the worst things you could do as an investor. It's a losing game for somewhere like 95%.
DRK is not a useful coin yet. The only think you can do at the moment with it at the moment is using it as a trading instrument. There isn't even a gamling site where you can use DKR that I know of.
If it actually becomes useful, by people using it for it's unique properties in a large scale, then it will be valuable. We'll see. Buy/mine and hold if you believe the that coin may be useful for actual commerce. If you want pump-and-dumps there's probably better coins for that purpose.
Not interested in pump and dumps - just curious about how people feel who do ride the waves.
And agreed - it's not useful yet - I overstated - "will be useful" or "has the most potential to be useful".
Good for all of us "believers" in this coin. Cheap to get in and better potential than all the other clonecoins
I've managed to ride both BTC and LTC very very nicely.
I can tell you that just before EVERY wave, it was extremely frustrating.
I remember almost giving up on BTC altogether in about June 2013 when it dropped to <$60 at a daily volume of ~$1million... of which about $300k were freshly new mined coins. Then, out of nowhere came the steady rise and then China kicked in.
In November I was weeping when LTC went down to 0.007BTC..., and then it shot up without warning all the way to 0.05BTC.
I sold LTC at 0.025BTC in order to get into DRK. I bought between 0.0018-0023...
I saw my DRK value plunge 60% and exchanges where it's traded hacked and people loosing their coins.
I was very frustrated, but experience tough me that you need to 'stick to your guns'.
The flippers that jump a lot only loose.
I believe in DRK because it brings novelty in the right direction - anonymity.
I'm not even trying to ride a wave, and i feel insecure putting my coins in an exchange that has one central wallet... so, i wait... and it will come when I least expect it
