WOW -
c-cex is not secure.
polo is not secure.
only crptsy [and mintpal] left...

I really believe that when DRK gets attention, increase at least x3 fold, and generates trading volume, BTC-e would be a perfect candidate exchange to add it. If i were them, i'd probably remove feathercoin in order to add DRK... or novacoin,
But until then, we are down to just one 'serious' exchange trading DRK
not good Sad

risky pool operators.

Please explain that part to me

Come to IRC (efnet #darkcoin) for all Questions

nope, you just called out that more or less all pool owners are risky, now im a pool owner, and i dont like to be put in that boat,
unless you have a very good reasoning, im quite interrested in hearing it...

lets see,
lotterymining.com -> all earned coins are paid out to miners
lotterymining.com -> pool has earned aprox 70 DRK, and has paid out 470 DRK in lottery winnings - with 200 more being thrown in
lotterymining.com -> runs on a dedicated server, exclusively for darkcoin miners
lotterymining.com -> Pays all withdrawal fees

so, risky, is the wrong words to use about pool owners

and i havnt heared in a long time about a pool being robbed

Lotterymining isnt being run for profit, its being run for fun, and by fun, still taking it seriously...

besides, p2pool can be hacked to not pay out all earnings...

Everyday miners are made to be put through the third degree by pool operators including but not limited to: Stealing, Accounts being hacked,Account lock outs, Time for transfers, etc. No more need for these headaches! boundarytesters.com:7903 is decentralized!

account lockouts -> someone tried to hack the account, or you used the wrong password, i always unlock accounts when im being made aware of it
stealing, seriously get a grip, and maybe you can look at what i wrote again, you did choose not to answer one part of what i wrote -> "besides, p2pool can be hacked not to pay out all earnings" <- so you cant use the stealing part, because it can be done no matter what software you use. time for transfer, come on, get back to reality, processing of payouts + network confirmation, you cannot cheat on that with p2pool, your bound by the same rules as anyone else.
on lotterymining people can select auto payouts whenever their balance hits 1 drk, then they dont have to do a thing except mine to get coins.

you can run your p2pool, i have no problem with that, but trying to make everyone else look bad, so you can make a buck, that i have a problem with, we run pools differently, im fine with that, but keep it sober.

I fear that there will be a big pump soon, followed by a big temporary dump. Just my thoughts

Pump on coins with any fundamentals results in a higher floor than previous, I would know.

actually im not so sure you have to withdraw that, because that can well be a fueling side of the behaviour of some types of people

Nah, it must go.  The #1 thing all psychopaths have in common is charm.  They are charming and fun and very extraverted.  I was sidetracked by the apparent narcissism but that is probably a side effect of miscalculating his competence.

Stop using words like narcissism and psychopath.....that's way too much platitude. There are plenty of four letter words that will suffice.

You fools will be eating your shit soon.

Have fun with your ignorance.

Logic and technical accuracy (even as applied to social issues such as sexism) is replaced by mob cheerleading here.

I am gone from this thread. Enjoy the blissful eurphoria (for a short-time).

It's funny. AnonyMint is the Dunning–Kruger effect personified.  The researchers I meet at the world's top universities and technical conferences are nowhere near as convinced of their own brilliance.

That sounds so accurate, I must withdraw my psychopathic diagnosis.  I wasn't qualified anyway, ROFL

I dunno about that. Smart people come in all flavours. Certainly plenty of ego in academia and the netsec & hacker communities.

I wonder if that's the exact same thing that happened to MtGox and C-Cex?  It's not unusual for everyone to be using open code that has been modified for each individual exchange, so they may all have a similar flaw.

Makes me nervous...

No - it is not exact. But that happened with polo by lack of testing like in our case... in case of MtGox thing are far more complicated.
About code - not at all. We use our own code written from the blank and I pretty sure polo and gox too.

Well, then it is growing pains I guess we all must suffer.  I hope it doesn't hit me too hard when it comes 'cause I don't have much in the first place!  LOL
