Anyone running on a Gigabyte 7970?

Config and hashrate?

I am running two Gigabyte 7970s in a normal computer case,
with the side removed. I have a box fan pointing at my cards
and I am getting around 2 MH/s per card for a total of around
4 MH/s together.

This seems super high, in relation to normal Scrypt coins,
but of course ... DRK is no "normal" coin ...

This is my SGminer configuration:

Quote
color 06

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 200

setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

timeout 10

sgminer.exe --kernel darkcoin -o stratum+tcp://drk.coinmine.pl:6090 -u username.here -p password -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --shaders 2048

Thanks a lot.. I'm looking to buy a new rig that has a motherboard with 1x 16x PCIee but has 2xPCIe and then runs on 8x/8x.. What impact does this have?

Hi

I have a question on http://drk.lotterymining.com/ and sorry to say I'm new to mining.

I have a few EC2 instances running on this pool and seems to be chugging along nicely. I'm on the leader boards http://drk.lotterymining.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool.

One of those stats confuses me and that's the DRK/Day. Based on my current stats, is that what I should be earning? But when I go to my dashboard I still have 0 Confirmed and 0 Unconfirmed. Am I doing something wrong?

And again, apologies for what will seem like a completely stupid question to most of you.

The two cards run around 20 degrees celsius cooler than
normal scrypt coin mining. This is absolutely amazing ...

I don't know if mining DRK is as profitable, as other coins
anymore - however, I can't imagine the price going down.

If anything, I think DRK has a lot more potential to explode
upwards in price, compared to other coins like Vert, Doge etc.

Once it hits larger exchanges, it may sky rocket - especially
if the new tests work out well. This is everything Litecoin was
supposed to be ... and everything Vert/Panda wish they were Smiley

I don't know why anyone would use anything BUT a p2p pool.
Transaction dust.

I'm a fan of P2Pool, but at some point the transaction dust build ups and makes a wallet unusable (ie. very very slow, payments quiuckly exceed size limits, etc.). For current fast coins and a high hashrate, you can accumulate thousands of transactions per day.

So when a using a P2Pool, my advice is to always mine to a P2Pool-specific wallet, that you can discard and start anew every few weeks/months (depending on how commons the payout).

Good advice, appreciated.
