The Small Time Miner XCoin Pool
* http://xco.smalltimeminer.com
* Pplns Payouts. Full Block Rewards Rewards Including Tx Fees, 1% Pool Fee.
* Stratum Only: stratum+tcp://xco.smalltimeminer.com:3350

Pool should work, completely untested at this point, wasn't a miner available at the time and I won't even be able to test it myself for several hours, difficulty is still low so solo mining is probably the best option yet but its running if anyone wants to try it out.

Bigal, can you confirm you upgraded your wallet on the pool?

Code:

"version" : 80602,
"protocolversion" : 70002,
"walletversion" : 60000,

This right or wrong? Did a git pull and it looked like it updated main.cpp then I rebuilt it.

Edit: I'm just going to build a fresh clone to be sure it went right no harm in that I guess.

Edit 2: Rebuilt fresh clone and I have the same numbers.

The Small Time Miner XCoin Pool has been updated.

SmallTimeMiner still is giving out 500 coins per block

The block values will update at block 4500 to the correct algo, enjoy them while they last

Hmmm I can never tell how long I should be expecting a payout with a wallet miner.

Maybe I mined just nothing?

Zero coins in more than 4 hours of wallet mining (~85 kh/s), then about 70 coins in the first hour of pool mining (~135 kh/s). Is that normal?

How can I obtain the information about my mining results when mining with a wallet?

./xcoind getmininginfo

:-)

I am using the Linux version of the wallet. I do not have xcoind (or I have been unable to find it)
in xcoin-qt select about - debug window - console

what about windows users?))

Windows users need to update too. I sent out a message to the user (ig0tik3d), I think he's working on it

Information on max number of coins in the first post shall be updated. Looks like the current version won't have more than 840 mln xcoins, exact number depends heavily on difficulty.

I confirm that block reward with current difficulty is again 500, this is weird.

Everyone using the linux based version please update your source from GitHub! I fixed the code that is causing the strange block rewards and it goes active at block 4500! If you do not upgrade you'll be left behind!

Just update from GitHub here: https://github.com/evan82/xcoin

Block reward controlled by moores law ( 1111 / (diff+1 ^ 2))
Actually that equation is wrong, it shall be ( 1111 / (diff+1) ^ 2), at least that's how it is calculated in the code.

if you are solomining you will not see anything unless you find a block....
the difficulty is way too high for solo unless you are getting multiple Mhash

- Block reward controlled by moores law ( 1111 / (diff+1 ^ 2))

This is not working, right? I'm getting 500 coins as reward
see all function in source )))

Code:

 int64 static GetBlockValue(int nBits, int64 nFees)
{
    double dDiff =
        (double)0x0000ffff / (double)(nBits & 0x00ffffff);

    int64 nSubsidy = (1111 / (pow((dDiff+1),2)));
    if (nSubsidy > 500) nSubsidy = 500;
    if (nSubsidy < 1) nSubsidy = 1;
    nSubsidy *= COIN;

    return nSubsidy + nFees;
}
there is most likely something in this that is setting the block reward to max
