So I heard iCEHOLE and his aSSBREAKING buddies are preparing to "troll Dash on the protocol level".
When's it gonna start, iCEY?
Wait, what...
it already happened?!?LOLYou see, your protocol trolling is exactly the same as your forum trolling: A pathetic failure. Thanks for the free stress test. Well... free for us
Meanwhile Dash still holding strong above 40 USD. You mad?
Call it a stress test, then run to your firewalls and vps providers, the simple truth is nodes(centralized attack vectors) that can be directly attacked will always be a liability, every crypto monkey knew dash's masternodes where a sitting target, now we have the proof
Oh, the humanity! I have a feeling it is only the begining, beware of where you put your money folks!
40 USD so what??? bad tech solutions with good marketing and pretty faces
but......shhhhh lets keep this to ourselves, dont talk about it, just enough not to be acused of hushing it down, the media that is all in also shhhh dont let it out too much...the bubble might BURST!!!!
Seriously? My nodes showed elevated cpu and bandwidth, but chugged along nicely. That wasn't even that bad a DDOS attack. However, it does show how important it is to run your node on minimum (that's all I have) specs. Only a couple of hundred out of 4000 nodes were caught off guard. Frankly, I think most of those that went offline were due to confused MN owners who were checking the DashNinja site. DashNinja had it's own nodes down, and when you checked on your node, it showed as having a closed port. So I suspect many MN owners, unfortunately, stopped their nodes and messed around trying to get them to show up as open long enough that they were kicked out of the MN list.
Actually, there is a lesson to be learned here aside from giving your MN the minimum specs, that is to check your MN against several nodes to see if they "see" you, not just one place. Dash Central was showing everything up and running. Take the time to check and double check and wait even because if you issue a restart on your locally funded wallet, you just sent yourself to the back of the line
Anyway, I expect this was just a little DDOS and that bigger ones are to come. These things only strengthen us. and BTW, this attack clearly showed how strong our MN network is. so your comment above is pretty funny.
