Without any desire at all to provoke unease here, I gotta say that 'Most of our target market is speaking Engish' is absolutely and completely the opposite of the case, and it's high time that crypto folk recognised this. One of the reasons DASH attracts me is its mature and professional self-marketing, and we should be bumpin' our buns on buses in Everywhere-istan and Darkest Continent to be the first to put a DASH-ed up laptop in the hands of the bazillion potential adopters waiting there.
(DASH got an android?)
No offense taken
In a later post (somewhere on previous page) I described in further detail what I was arguing for. The scope was Dash Digest, and if we should tape the show with various actors in multiple languages.
I have no argument against e.g. having our website available in Spanish, Chinese, etc. What I feel though is that people underestimate the effort it takes to translate recurring materials (status updates, dev diaries, changelogs, blog posts, Dash Digest, etc) into 10+ (20+? who knows where's the limit) languages, and think it's worth it. That's what I raised my voice against.
