People are moving into eth, look at eth pump.
Decred is too slow. too slow. Impossible a mass adoption with this slow chain.

Slow? I dont understand...i move coins from A to B in minutes..

It was only the wind.
Since I did the earlier implementation for the Mojo v3, I've been working on a better one for larger chips (larger being relative to the LX9 used on the Mojo) - finally got the first version working a few days ago, and it's quite a bit better than the Mojo one, as it should be. It outputs one hash per clock tick with the Blake-256 transform implemented as a pipeline - since one core of this results in using less than 40% of the total logic on the Cyclone V, more could be used for more hashrate. However, while it works well with the default board clock of 50Mhz, it's not good enough to clock to 75Mhz without issues, so I began a new design, and only later added the ability to easily create more than one hashing core. It clocks to 75Mhz with a single hashing core on the board, using a longer pipeline.

Here's the first version of the piped implementation, at the board's default clock of 50Mhz (nsfw): https://ottrbutt.com/tmp/decredwolf-sockit-success-v0.1.png

EDIT: The 56-stage pipelined version fits on the chip with two cores, as well. Same clock speed for now, currently testing higher ones (nsfw): https://ottrbutt.com/tmp/decredwolf-sockit-success-v0.1-56stage-dbl.png

I have been thinking about getting the new rasberry PI 3 and setting it up for POS mining. I have read the guide, but how much DCR would I need to make it worthwhile and when they say you need to have it running 24/7, is that literally? . I mean if its shut down for a day or so without you noticing, is that a big deal. Also how long do you have to wait before seeing the first return
tks

Is there a Pi setup for Decred ? Id like to try it out can someone point me to where that is ?

... and the swarm is headed towards us
How are the transaction fees for DCR worked out? The 0.1 DCR withdrawal fee at Bittrex seems absurdly high.

Low price and difficulty. It's best time for mining. When we hit poloniex, then these small numbers will be past.

IF we ever get traded on polo. Please fill this in.

Please explain why you would like to see this coin added to the exchange:

give your personal reason

If this coin has any significant innovations over other coins, please elaborate on them here:

Hybridized proof-of-work proof-of-stake consensus system to strike a balance between miners and voters and create a more robust notion of consensus

Blake-256 hashing algorithm – not vulnerable to many of the numerous security issues facing Merkle-Damgård construction-based hashing algorithms such as SHA-256

secp256k1 signature scheme for ease of integration into existing software or Ed25519/secp256k1-Schnorr to take advantage of Schnorr signatures and their features

Written entirely in Go using a modular, well-documented, and tested codebase for long-term maintainability

Hope this helps.

Whats the final time for RPF-5 ? I'm currently working on it but would need a little more time to finish it properly.

12:00 PM CST March 4th, 2016. Let me know if that poses a problem, since this one has parties that have been expressed interest for quite a while now. Trying to move quickly so interested hackers can dig in. Because it's big enough, it'll likely be possible to have multiple components completed by multiple people. It would require bringing everyone to the table and agreeing on things - but one step at a time!

Thats perfectly fine for me.

Most things are already done here, we just have to get the heads together - what about a big meetup "ETH" style ? Wink

I'll send the proposal within the next 24h

OCMiner, withdraws seem stuck again.

PM / Mail with TXID and I'll have a look, there's currently a batch job running every 4 hours

Alright ill wait like 12 hours and see if it gets sent.
