Update: As promised, the first screenshots of the exchange will be available within 3-4 days.

Since the project has evolved significantly from the original concept, I will also be updating this thread with the relevant details at that time.

Thank you!

This is more exciting then the ANN of a new altcoin besides SRC of course.   Grin

Can't wait...

Baritus, I'm curious as to the Fincen regulations and things related.  In what country is DGC/ARG operations based?  Did you take care of legal precautions for handling fiat exchange?

-Merc
I would like to know this as well. People want to know there money is safe plain and simple. You response does not answer the question though?

1. No US processed transactions.
2. Only third party non-US processors used.
3. No operations based in the US.
4. No direct banking operations.

That should be a very clear answer. There is no need for those regulations when precautions were taken to avoid them.
Very smart. You went into lucrative fiat-to-crypto bridge business, you took proper precautions, you didn't disclose jurisdiction from where you plan to operate (let me guess, that's Belize or Seychelles, regulations of BVI or Hong Kong are too tight) and, last but not least, you going to issue your own currency. In five years you'll become either Altmogul or prisoner.
I wish you all the success with this enterprise but will keep the money passed through it out of tax papers Smiley

More details:

1. The exchange website will be PHP based, but actual trading will take place on a Java platform.

2. The exchange will launch with a Java applet that runs through browsers. There will also be a desktop trading platform for all OS(Java is universal). An android platform is also a simple modification of the source code.

Thanks for the update mate. Myself and alot of others I'm sure are really excited to see this new service up and running. Keep up the good work!  Smiley

You're welcome. Smiley

lol yea right, people have no idea whats holding their money, mines well send my funds to that Nigerian prince to hold them for me...  Good luck trying to compete with PXC's new exchange, or any other exchange for that matter.

Well that just explains everything. Your a pxc bagholder obviously worried about dgc and arg's bright future. Yeah Phenixex.com is such a great site that its not even up at the moment. Doesn't sound like its going too well according to this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=238160.40

Do us all a favor. Put your money where your mouth is and get rid of all your dgc, then go troll somewhere else.

What shareholders? This is a currency not a company.

The only rights anyone has and the currency itself provides are the rights to mine it and use it.

All other rights are personal rights, including the rights to privacy and anonymity.
You are marketing a coin for profit, personal gain, and community gain by offering different services and making promises, you have been trying hard to get people to build software, invest in your coin and follow your coin since you released it. If you say you have serious investors, and if its anything other than personal, people who hold DGC would like to know.
I know the devs from PXC release all information like this because they understand how business works.

You are now giving me second thoughts about holding my DGC, it seems as they you do not know how business works, or how important it is for you, the dev to be there and keep being innovative for the public.
But your throwing out statements in which you cant back up now, why say that in the first place? You have to be prepared for questions like this.

I dont know, Im gonna need more to see this moving forward. If I dump the amount I have, DGC is dropping down to the basement.

Currently a 73BTC buy in on Cryptsy...so go ahead and dump your DGC..I know i will be there to buy it up as well

People don't know who is holding their money at btc-e, vircurex, or most places for that matter.

I also have plenty of users and I'm confident of success.

Thanks for your comments though.  Wink

If you feel you have no obligation to the people supporting you, and to the people invested in your product, you are in the wrong game and in over your head.

(I know what a developer is, I am one)  (DGC will ultimately fail with you at the helm)

1. I am not at the helm. I am a volunteer. Anyone can do what I am doing as well and are welcome to.

2. It's not my product. They own it just as much as me and keep it. It is a PEER to PEER currency. I am not the Fed.

3. Learn what open source, decentralized, and community powered mean.

There will be no transactions processed within the USA. We'll also be using third party processors for all transactions.
