Good news...ordered additional memory for the servers. Should arrive sometime next week. This should make room for additional pools Smiley

Also working on updating the code to version 13.4.

HI CartmanSPC been mining ANC on your pool yet no payout why please?

This was due to using an exchange address for payment. It has been resolved.

Lowering the fee of Casinocoin to 1%.

Limiting the number of miners to 200 on all coins. If a coin approaches 200 miners I will open additional nodes to accommodate.

Yes, thank you Serjster! It's back.

It occasionally requires a restart due to what I call the 1.67% bug...formally known as the 5% bug.

It is much better after this code release but still comes up:

Is xpool down today for DGC? I'm having a hard time connecting with CGMiner. Thank you for building a P2P pool for DGC, here's one cat that actually appreciates and values your hard work.

Hi, I managed to get Cgminer running, a lot of stuff I do not understand, now , my CPU is a first generation Dual Core Pentium, bought in 2008. Could someone tell me how to work out the hash rate? Thank you.
Hi Franconomasky,

I would recommend mining a coin like Quark or Securecoin with your CPU. You wont do well mining scrypt coins with CPU :/

I've noticed an address that is receiving around half of the payout, yet is not reporting in any of the stats.  Who is WP4nhX7rmeeAWEz1YkwoGcsGbF86aWtkpj and why is it not showing in the stats?

http://wdc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/address/WP4nhX7rmeeAWEz1YkwoGcsGbF86aWtkpj

There are upwards of 20 other nodes on the WDC p2pool so it would be hard to say where he is mining at. He does not appear to have ever mined on my node.

Here is the current list of nodes he could have been mining on:

113.105.248.35
192.241.155.73
218.3.213.206
46.249.46.62
162.243.227.221
85.214.22.17
69.197.181.154
98.215.74.213
216.51.232.156
213.29.218.142
198.27.82.133
84.16.127.146
37.139.8.31

Funny it disappeared after I reported it.  I've been watching it for a few days now.  Feel like we have been screwed out of coins.  What did you find?

Hi CartmanSPC,

I have been mining on your WDC pool on and off for around 6 months.  I've noticed an address that is receiving around half of the payout, yet is not reporting in any of the stats.  Who is WP4nhX7rmeeAWEz1YkwoGcsGbF86aWtkpj and why is it not showing in the stats?

Thanks!

Hi zxm7001,

Sometimes it can take over two hours to find a CRC block based on the difficulty and hash rate. I show that your address did get a couple payouts:

You guys need to be ALOT clearer about the pool's setup and we deserve just compensatoin.

Well, don't know how much clearer I can be as the code is open source for anyone to examine or use. Please feel free to use it as you like but I make to guarantees as to it's performance or usability. If you feel it does not meet your needs there are other options available.

I personally feel P2Pool is a benefit to any blockchain so I spent my time and effort developing it for the small number of coins I support. I try my best to do so as time allows. I appreciate the efforts others have started to provide in helping to optimize P2Pool as best they can.

I'll repeat...

You guys need to be ALOT clearer about the pool's setup and we deserve just compensation.

Last year, I had a few stints mining LTC and BTC with a P2P pool. We were always paid fairly.

Things have obviously changed.

Hippie Tech:

Try searching the forum or his posts. Link here if you find anything.

If you are really curious the source code is freely available for you to check out. You don't need to trust me or any other p2pool node operators.

Just as a reminder P2Pool is decentralized so if one node gets taken down the rest are not affected. There are no accounts or coins stored by the pool. No confirmations to wait for....your coins are sent to you as soon as a block is found. Every block found is simultaneously announced across all the wallets in the P2Pool so there are less orphans encountered.

Again, the source code is freely available for you to start your own P2Pool node that you can keep private or open up for others to use. If you look at the code you will see that very little was changed from the original author (https://github.com/forrestv/p2pool) to support other coins.

You may get some of your questions answered if you ask politely in the main P2Pool thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/1500-th-p2pool-decentralized-dos-resistant-hop-proof-pool-18313

I have never seen this while solo'n DGC or any other alt.

Mystery blocks.. pseudo shares.. alternate addys ...

You guys need to be ALOT clearer about the pool's setup and we deserve just compensatoin.

Please shows where/when Hazard made this statement.
