Give Dogecoin a good rating, I did!

Seems nothing can be done about it, even though it is known that the negative ratings are people abusing the trust system.

It actually reflects negatively on this site.

I think it can be true and can not be true sometimes...The best bet for me is looking at what the trust reviews actually say...where in this case it states "maker of the anti moot herp a derp premined scam coin doge. why your hate?" ...lol  Tongue

Added http://cryptomarketplace.net/ , which is a craiglist like site that accepts DogeCoin listings. Looks interesting.

How can I trust this link with your trader rating! Tongue

I created an init.d-script for "dogecoind" to launch at Linux startup, 100% works and tested under Debian and Ubuntu. Maybe works/should work on other distributions of Linux.

Script is at:
http://paste.debian.net/72665/

- script must be downloaded an named "dogecoin"
- open the script, edit the settings (line 13 till 25) to fit your setup
- script must be placed in /etc/init.d
- script must be made executable (chmod +x /etc/init.d/dogecoin)
- script must be installed as init service (update-rc.d dogecoin defaults)
- now you can use script with "service dogecoin " to control dogecoind

Hope this helps to strengthen DOGE network.
nice job.

for openSUSE 13.1
Code:
16  DAEMON=/usr/local/bin/dogecoind

added to all my cpu mining rigs Wink

Any news about a Android Dogecoin wallet yet?

This is vital. A Doge coin wallet on Android/whatever mobile phone with a light weight block chain. Something like Mycelium.

Mobile will be everything the next few years. Crypto currency is perfect for this environment.

And how do you perform a light weight block chain ? Smiley

Using a remote, trustable server instead of downloading the blockchain.
It's how https://electrum.org/ a BTC wallet does it.

Where do the transaction fee's from the wallet go?

also who sent me 0.529 and why?

Transaction fees go the miner that solves the block which contains your transaction. The idea behind transaction fees is to stop people spamming the blockchain with transactions making it grow to an unmanageable size.

Someone sent you 0.529 because an address of yours was listed somewhere. Probably a bot giving tips or perhaps a mining pool payout.

So much for the friendly happy clappy doge community. I'm a dogecoin agitator and I have to answer newb questions.

Well you don't HAVE to do anything, but thanks for the answer. Wink

Transaction fees are added to the block reward.

When bitcoin/other coins mine out, the expectation that miners will continue to mine to get the transaction fee reward.

That makes sense, thanks!

Also is there a way to multiquote on this board?
