I'm thinking that the demand will be pretty big - it's still confined to people that read this site pretty much, and that's a pretty niche audience.. everyone else still thinks it's imaginary. Once it hits the major news networks, it'll cause an increase in interest.
I'm not arguing that the miners will have a negative effect on the price - but I think there's a factor dependant on when Cryptsy launches it, and when the news covers it.
