Up that intensity. On my 6990 it peaks around 17, unfortunately my computer is unusable but you can play with it to find an acceptable rate/usability.

Okay very many such thanks guys, you've been wow!
so I'm using cgminer 3.5 and a .bat file to launch it :
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://doge.scryptpools.com:3333 -u mylog -p mypass  --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 3 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2 --intensity 20 --no-submit-stale --queue 2

running at 500kHs
let's play with that mystic thread-concurrency parameter now

Also, intensity isn't necessarily a card specific thing, sometimes higher values (like 20) might actually have you losing hashes. Play with 17-19 just to test where the rates lie.

Play with the lookup gap.  I found the higher for me the less hashes.  I have mine at 2.

Here's an article about the R9 with some config settings:

Use a batch file to make it easier.  Here's what I use for a 7870.  You will have to do some research to find the best thread-concurrency but it gives a basic idea of how to get started.  The overclocking can be done through Catalyst Control Center and tweak for the best performance with low heat.  When cgminer isn't running, the card will clock back to defaults.

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://doge.scryptpools.com:3333 -u xxxxx -p xxxxx  --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2 --intensity 12 --no-submit-stale --queue 2

i'm not a new member i know that  Grin, it is just the site-pool that is slow in confirmation

Oh--Which version cgminer are you using?  I found 3.5 to work best for hashrate.

You basically have cgminer using some default values.  First, what is the temp of your card?  You can see that at the top of cgminer when its running.
many degrees :70°C
in fact with that new card i was expecting about 10 times my current khs, maybe I'm wrong..

The temp isn't to bad, it can go to 75 without a problem when overclocked, in fact, that's the internal "default" target temp for cgminer.  I run my 7850 at about 85.  The reason I don't use a config file is to many parameters can be used and confuse cgminer.  Cgminer is pretty good at self adjusting on most of the settings.  Try a .bat file like I showed you and you should see a substantial increase in your hashrate.
